L'Oreal Paris Paradise Brow Pomade in Shade Ebony - Easy Instagram Brows!

L'Oreal Paris Paradise Brow Pomade - Shade Ebony - Review

Ever since Cara Delevigne's eyebrows hit the catwalk, brows have been big and bold. In my teen years I over plucked my brows (as was the trend of the time) and can flick back through old photos today and internally recoil in horror. Thankfully though, I was lucky enough that my overzealous tweezing didn't affect my regrowth, and my eyebrows are abundant once again.

A distinctive feature on my face I've invested a lot of time into my brows, from HD brow salon sessions, to home tinting kits. And up until recently I favoured a plain old brow pencil over any kind of powder or pomade on the market - in my eyes all I needed was a little definition and a bit of shading in sparser areas.

That was until I discovered L'Oreal's Paradise Brow Pomade, which has now become my go-to brow product.

Girls with thicker brows like me will understand the lengths you have to go to, to tame unruly eyebrows. You can gel them, put a bit of clear mascara on them, or even spritz some hairspray on a spoolie and comb your brows with it, but I have never been a big fan of any of the above. This brow pomade not only defines my natural shape though, it and adds depth to my brows, freezing them perfectly in place (and not in a plastic botox way as you might be imagining!). Which cuts out a step in my morning routine, meaning I can wrap my hands around a cappuccino about 2 minutes quicker than usual!

I still like to use my brow pencil to add a few light, feathery strokes to the inner of my eyebrows, as I find it gives that ombré 'Instagram Brow' look that everyone loves. But I blend the pomade from the centre of the brow, towards the outside. The smooth, gel formula of the pomade effortlessly glides on the skin, and gives that defined edge that no pencil or powder product could ever achieve. It's definitely easier to slip up with this product if you've not got a steady hand, but if you take it slow and apply it with the same respect you do your winged eyeliner, this product is truly faultless.

I started using my little pomade at the start of October when my sister gifted it to me for my birthday, and we're mid November and it's still going strong! A little of this bad boy really does go a long way. My hair is naturally about as dark brown as you can get without being considered black, so I use the shade Ebony, and it is perfect. No warm chestnut undertones, or weird grey looking colour that other dark brown brow products can sometimes have.

In the battle of the brows, this is the only product I can see myself using until I discover another hidden beauty gem, and I'd encourage anyone looking to switch up their brow routine to try it too!

As always I hope you enjoyed my post, let me know what brow product you personally prefer using below!

Until next time..
