Kylie Cosmetics 'Nice' Eyeshadow Palette Holiday Bundle Collection 2017 - First Impressions Review

Kylie Cosmetics 'Nice' Eyeshadow Palette Holiday Bundle Collection 2017

Ever since I ordered the Kylie Cosmetics Holiday Bundle back on the launch date, I'd been obsessively checking the tracking to see when it would arrive. And finally this weekend I got my hands on my makeup! Of course I haven't had a chance to properly create any looks, or put the makeup through its paces, but I wanted to share with you all my first impressions on the cosmetics inside the bundle. And I've decided to start this five part blog series with the Kylie Cosmetics Nice Eyeshadow Palette.

An assortment of 14 shades, the palette mixes beautiful warm yellows and golds, with more rose pinks and burgundy shades. As well there's a couple of unexpected blue / purple undertones that you wouldn't normally think to mix, so it's got quite an interesting variety.

The outer packaging is glittery, with muted candy cane-esque stripes that give it a really luxe feel, which continues through to the outside of the palette itself. Though instead the glitter is replaced with silver foil and white velvet embossed lettering - a really tactile and unique touch!

Inside I love the addition of the mirror, very handy when on the go, and it also adds weight to the product making it feel high end. The shadows are as follows:

Jack Frost - Iridescent white with gold undertones
Lullaby - Matte apricot
Gumdrop - Metallic rose gold / copper
Mulberry - Metallic deep purple
Holly - Matte coral
Slay - Metallic gold
Ginger Snap - Matte marigold yellow
Santa Baby - Matte tan
Blizzard - Metallic burgundy / red with blur undertones
Macaroon - Matte dusty pink
Miracle - Matte baby pink
Hot Cider - Matte dark brown
Wonderland - Matte burgundy
Drummer Boy - Metallic bronze

When swatching the shades the matte colours are unbelievably pigmented, and need only the lightest touch. Whereas I find the metallic shades to be far more sheer and buildable - I've seen reviews online that they work better when damp, so I'll have to remember that when I come to create a look.

I have to say my favourite shades are definitely Ginger Snap and Blizzard, they're both really unique hues and unlike anything I currently own - probably won't be mixing them together though as they're not very complimentary colours!

Overall I'm over the moon with this palette and can't wait to create a few Christmas looks for you all - from the photos you've seen, let me know your favourite shades below!

Until next time..
