FOTD: L'Oreal Couture Gift Set - 'Christmas Party' Makeup Look

Merry Christmas to you beautiful people!

I hope you're as excited as I am about Christmas Eve and spending some quality time with the people you love. But before everyone gets stuck into their Turkey dinners, festive films and family board games I wanted to share with you my most recent beauty purchases from Boots that enabled me to create this festive 'face of the day.' (Please excuse my grainy iPhone photo, I've lost the tripod for my SLR camera so can't take a 'selfie' using that!)

As a long term lover of L'Oreal cosmetics, when I saw that Boots were offering a gift set free when you spend £14.99 or over, I just had to cash in on that bargain!

In need of a new mascara, I decided to pick up my favourite drug store 'Volume Million Lashes' mascara and a nude lipstick from Julianne Moore's nude lipstick range in the shade 'barely peach' (I instantly fell in love with the smooth, matte black casing on this lipstick and knew it was the one for me). For anyone who hasn't purchased a volume million mascara from L'Oreal you are missing out, it coats your lashes evenly; extending them beyond their normal length and adds volume without getting that 'spidery' look that we're all trying to avoid. As for the lipstick, it's a gorgeous natural shade of pink that adds a subtle blush to my pout. I personally plan to use it as an everyday barely there lipstick for work, however I have found myself having to reapply it a fairly regularly as the pigment doesn't seem to last very long, although to be fair this could be to the cold weather causing my lips to chap at the moment.

By purchasing these two products I became eligible for the free L'Oreal couture gift set - the perfect combination of classic reds to create that old Hollywood glamour look. Inside the set was a volume million so couture mascara, a white kohl eyeliner pencil, a red lipstick, red nail polish and a voucher for £2.50 off of a true match foundation (but to be honest I won't be using mine as I've found my dream foundation already).

To create this look I used my Estée Lauder double wear foundation in shade 'fresco' for even clear, even skin coverage and used my Sleek contour palette to define and highlight the planes of my face. I lined my lash and water line lightly with the white kohl pencil in order to brighten my eyes and draw attention away from my lips without it all looking too much then lightly coated my lashes in the volume million mascara. I always try to stick to the basic beauty rule of eyes or lips but never both!

To achieve the deep, cleanly outlined red lips that will last for hours, I always use the same process.

1. Buff away the chapped skin on your lips using a clean toothbrush
2. Apply a thin layer of Vaseline in order to soften your skin and keep it from drying out
3. Slowly line your lips using a lip liner pencil, it will prevent any excess lipstick from bleeding onto your skin
4. Take your lipstick and apply evenly
5. Using a small amount of translucent powder, blot your lips to set the lipstick
6. Repeat until you have your desired depth of colour

Finally to balance out the bold lips, it's important to even out your face by defining your brows (I can't even begin to stress the importance of your eyebrows, they're like the cherry on top of a cupcake) I like to use my HD brows palette just to fill in the areas where my eyebrows are more sparse.

That's all there is to it! This look is light enough to wear during the day for a bit of sophisticated glamour, or alternatively can be worn on a night out for an alluring Christmas party look - it's totally up to you!

I hope you have all enjoyed reading my post, I can't wait to see what I'm lucky enough to receive from Santa Claus tomorrow. Hopefully there'll be some beauty delights that I'll be able to share with you all.

Have you bought any products from L'Oreal recently, what did you think?

Thank you for reading and Merry Christmas!

Ciaté Tree Trinkets - Luxury Christmas Tree Bauble Gifts

Hello there!

I hope you've all been getting into the festivities like I have this week, I feel like there's so much going on at the moment! From all the local villages holding their Christmas fetes, to covering my desk at work in tinsel (this is a must) AND I'm lucky enough to be going to Winter Wonderland on Tuesday, which I am absolutely buzzing for!

But most importantly I've finally started to get through my Christmas shopping and I couldn't wait to tell you all about my latest beauty bargain.

I've been looking for the perfect present to wrap up for a couple of the girls at work, we'd all decided it wasn't going to be anything super expensive but sometimes having that price cap can make finding something quality a challenge. But I am so pleased with what I've managed to pick up today from TKMaxx.

The Ciaté nail polish Christmas baubles! (Due to sheer luck, I managed to purchase the pack of six mini glitter polishes for £9.99, all the boxes were priced up at £16.99 (RRP: £30.00) and this one had been stickered up incorrectly! #winning)

The beauty world has totally tapped into every gap in the Christmas market this year, with their ever expanding range of advent calendars, gift sets and now baubles. Ciaté have beautifully packaged their polishes in these transparent plastic spheres (very reminiscent of the snow globes I used to have as a child) and with their synonymous black ribbon ties, you can trim your tree with these beauties.

I don't need to tell you how incredible the Ciaté nail polishes are, and if I do then you definitely need to go out and buy yourself a bottle to experience how gorgeous they are. Their rich, highly pigmented polishes glide on seamlessly and as long as you apply a base and top coat, are highly chip resistant.

I always champion these luxury polishes, and when I buy gifts for other people I always think it's important to give them something that you personally would love to recieve. (Of course it's also vital to consider their likes/dislikes, as I'm sure for example, my boyfriend wouldn't be too pleased to receive one of these..)

I'd say if you're struggling to find the perfect Secret Santa gift, a little something special for a friend or just add a touch of glamour (literally) to your tree this year, then these are ideal. Plus for a six pack of polishes, why not treat yourself and keep a couple. You don't have to give them all away..

I'm really hopeful that the work girls will love these as much as I do!

Thank you for reading!

December Christmas Wishlist

Hello!

With Black Friday and Cyber Monday all done and dusted, last minute shopping is well and truly at the forefront of everyone's minds. This has been made particularly evident to me by my boyfriend, friends and family all badgering me with the same question on their lips..

'What do you want for Christmas?'

This got me thinking about what I'd really be pleased to receive this year, which proved to be quite difficult due to the fact that I'm lucky enough to say that I don't actually need anything.

But to make things easier I thought I'd put together a little post about the things I've seen around lately that would undoubtedly make me smile.

(P.S. To anyone I know who's actually bothered to read this, these are just ideas and I don't expect to receive them haha!)

First up, Cosmetics and Beauty gifts - a guaranteed winner every time:

1. MAC Minerlize Skinfinish powder - £22
2. MAC 'Russian Red' matte lipstick (never gotten round to owning one of these beauties and this shade looks stunning) - £15
3. Chanel Coco Mademoiselle eau de parfum - Price varies according to size
4. Ciaté nail polish 'Candyfloss' & 'Boudoir' - £9
5. EOS lip balms (always wanted to try these) - Only available online as they're an American brand, prices vary
6. GHD Sunset Straighteners (mine are in desperate need of being replaced) - £109

Quirky Office / Work Goodies - being sat at my desk all day can get boring but some cheerful stationary can perk me up! (All these items are from Paperchase):

1. Novelty squirrel pen - £5.75
2. Billy bear pink exercise book - £5
3. Fluffy kangaroo pen - £2.75
4. Novelty panda highlighters - £5
5. Fineliner sharpies (I've been dying to try out sharpie tattoos ever since my boyfriend volunteered as a guinea pig) - £13

Wishlist items - these are a few more practical items I've been meaning to buy forever but never get round to!:

1. Moleskin Art journal (great for any drawings I do in the new year) - Available in all good book stores, prices vary based on size
2. Bear feet slippers (I couldn't find any pictures of what I mean but they're literally feet that look like they belong to a bear!) - I've seen them around, I have a feeling in BHS but not 100% sure...
3. Clear domed 'snowglobe' heart umbrella (this umbrella is so unique! The handle has tiny sequin hearts in!) - Available from UmbrellaHeaven online for £15

And finally a bit of sparkle! All available from Pandora:

1. Tiara 'princess' ring
2. Star stacker ring
3. Valentine's heart ring (I wanted to buy this for myself back on Valentine's Day but felt sad about buying it for myself at the time haha)
4. Various Pandora charms (all the charms are beautiful, personally I am trying to keep my bracelet colour neutral so I can wear it with everything but the little pink heart definitely popped out at me!) - Various prices

So that's my Christmas list for Santa Claus this year, hopefully I've been good!
But let's not forget that this time of year isn't about receiving gifts it's about spending time with your loved ones and being able to give them a gift that makes them smile.

What's on your Christmas wishlist?

Thank you for reading!

'Must Have' Christmas Beauty Bargain: Suddenly Madame Glamour Review

Aloha!

Tomorrow is the first day of advent, and I'm sure that most of the organised people of the world will have successfully completed all of their Christmas shopping and are sitting back with their cups of tea and festive films.

However, for all you people who don't quite have it together like myself, you'll be feeling the pressure now to find the perfect gifts for your friends and family. But don't fret, I've found a little gem that will prove very popular with your loved ones and won't hurt your purse strings!

Suddenly - Madame Glamour (Eau de Parfum for Women)

I first read an article online written by the Daily Mail about cut-price perfumes which listed the top fragrances right now and their dupes. Naturally, being a fan of Chanel - Coco Mademoiselle this perfume caught my eye. To be perfectly honest, I've never liked cheap perfume knock offs. I think that what you spend on a fragrance is directly proportionate to the quality of the smell and the length of time they linger on your skin. However I must confess I have been completely surprised by this scent. Available from Lidl (yes Lidl!) for a mere £3.99! That kind of  price has the ability to convert even the most cynical of discount fragrance fans like myself to give it a go, and I haven't been disappointed!

I won't go into the ins and outs of the floral, fruity notes of this perfume, but I fully recommend you give this bottle a chance. It's subtle scent is not offensive or too strong to be worn during the day, and having worn it myself to work I have actually received compliments on the lovely smell. As if this wasn't enough, after being applied in the morning whilst getting ready to go to work, by the end of the day the perfume could still be detected on my skin.

So for all you fragrance lovers out there, or even you bargain beauty hunters I definitely suggest you get down to a local Lidl and pick this up! The perfect stocking filler, or just a low cost alternative to switch up with your favourite perfume so it doesn't run out as fast!

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed this post,

Happy Shopping!

Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation in Fresco Review

Hey again!

It seems the winter weather is finally upon us all, and although it may not be cold and frosty yet, we've definitely had more than our fair share of wet and windy weather the last couple of weeks. And as much as I hate all these wintery showers, I am always happy to put my foundation to the test against the elements! Having found my perfect foundation I no longer worry about my coverage lasting all day in winter, I've truly discovered the holy grail of the cosmetic universe.

What is this magical foundation you're all wondering? I'll let you in on my secret, Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Foundation - my shade of choice is 'Fresco.'

I've been using Estée Lauder Double Wear for a while now, and I rate this product so highly I've replaced it 3 times! Repeat buying foundations is a rare occurence for me, as finding a foundation that meets my high expectations is like stardust.

This foundation has really high coverage that genuinely lasts all day. Double wear blends out seamlessly with no lines, leaving your complexion even and all your pores appear reduced. Other foundations can be thick, clumpy and look powdery on your skin, but I personally find this one to give a natural finish. You can build this foundation up to get your desired coverage, many people think that double wear is just a heavy duty winter foundation but depending on the amount you apply or whether you mix it with a light moisturiser you can achieve a 'barely there' effect too.

My skin is super sensitive and used to breakout frequently, I found switching up this foundation into my beauty routine (along with other cleansers and face washes) has really made a difference to my life. Using cheaper drugstore cover ups always made my skin oily and block my pores but this foundation seems to really agree with my skin type!

Available in a range of tones to suit all skin types, you're guaranteed to find one that's a great match for you. I like to pick mine up in Boots at just under £30, which in my opinion is a great price for such an incredible foundation. Plus if you time your purchase around 'gift time' you can be eligible for free bonus gifts and if you're lucky one of the lovely ladies will throw in a couple of samples for you too!

I would definitely recommend this foundation to anyone who wants to find a solution for a long lasting cover up. But as a tip, I would suggest getting matched up at one of the beauty counters before purchasing, as Estée Lauder products are highly pigmented and no one likes to spend a little more on a quality foundation to find that the colour is totally wrong for them.

Have you tried double wear yet?
Tell me what you think below.

I hope you enjoyed reading my post!

Wishlist: Top 5 Beauty Advent Calendars 2014

Hey there!

Christmas is just around the corner, it feels like wherever I go there's a festive reminder that I need to get a move on with my shopping! The lights are up in London, every shop has it's seasonal display in full glory and even the long awaited Coca Cola advert has been premiered. Which to me and my family, is a festive time mark that announces the beginning of Christmas.

So what better way to kick off this season, than with my personal Top 5 'Must Have' Beauty Advent Calendars.

Any self professed lover of beauty will know about the gorgeous variety of beauty calendars which are available online and on the high street. I personally discovered this phenomenon last year, and spent most of the run up to December lusting after them but never actually got round to purchasing one. So this year I've decided to do my research and have compiled a list of my Top 5, to put on my wishlist to Santa Claus.

5. The Selfridges Beauty Advent Calendar - £85.50

Arguably the most desirable of the array of calendars available, with an incredible mixture of brands ranging from Lancome to YSL. However this gem, comes at a price (which is very reasonable for the products you recieve inside, but a little outside of my budget.) Plus it has already sold out in store and online! For this reason, it only makes it to #5 on my list. Maybe next year I'll be able to bag myself one of these babies!

4. The Body Shop Beauty Advent Calendar - £50.00

This glorious calendar is jam packed with miniatures to buff you beautiful from head to toe. All of The Body Shop's best selling fruity creams and lotions make this the perfect choice for any skin care fanatic! Plus The Body Shop have teamed up with War Child, a charity supporting children in countries affected by war. So buying this will make you feel good both inside and out.

3. Ciaté Mini Mani Manor Nail Polish Advent Calendar - £49.00

If like me you're constantly changing up your nails, then this is the calendar for you! Ciaté's cute 'Mani Manor' features 17 miniatures, 5 textured polishes, 1 full size paint pot and festive themed nail transfers. Not only is this calendar bursting at the seams with goodies, but it's packaged in a sweet dolls house-esque box. For this reason it easily makes it into my Top 3.

No7 Beauty Calendar - £35.00

This amazing calendar has reached #2 on my list, the combination of the pretty pink packaging and the No7 branded products make this a beauty 'must have'. Not to mention that the total price of the products is £135 if you were to buy the cosmetics separately in store. That's an incredible £100 discount! For this price, and the consistent high quality of  the No7 brand who can argue?

1. Benefit Advent Calendar: Candy Coated Countdown - £60.00

And finally *drum roll* my number one spot goes to the Benefit beauty calendar, packed with a variety of everyone's favourite cosmetics. Including: Highbeam, BADgal lash, Posietint and so many more! This sadly already appears to have sold out online, but is still available in store. If you can't find any near you, Benefit have also bought out mini 'Sweet Shoppe' gift sets. They include a smaller selection of their top products which make the perfect beauty quick fix or stocking filler for a loved one. This calendar is any cosmetic obsessed girls dream and undoubtedly deserves to reign as Queen over the rest!

Of course this post is just my personal opinion, and in no way a reflection of the products or calendars themselves. Frankly I'd be over the moon to recieve any of them!

Have any of you been lucky enough to get your hands on a Beauty Advent Calendar this year?

I hope you enjoyed this post,

Thanks for reading!

Favourite Fragrance: Carolina Herrera - 212 Sexy

Aloha!

I hope you've all had a lovely week, I haven't had much time to blog lately but today I've decided to share my favourite perfume at the moment with you and hopefully help you out with my quick tip on how to find other fragrances which suit you!

In my experience, finding the perfect fragrance can be a chore. There are so many different bottles and potions available on the high street that it can all get a bit overwhelming when it comes to deciding what you want. And when you finally find one that you like, it's hard to stray away from your 'signature scent.'

Even I am guilty of this, I have two perfumes I have purchased repeatedly. My long term relationship with Chanel - Coco Mademoiselle is no secret to everyone I know, this classic scent is undoubtedly my favorite and most likely will remain my number one for years to come. The other scent I have an affinity for is Carolina Herrera - 212 VIP, I first discovered this a couple of years ago when I bought the gift set at Gatwick Airport prior to my holiday. I'm never sure whether I like this perfume so much because of it's smell or because I whenever I wear it I am transported back through my memories of my holiday.

So when it came to my birthday this year, I asked for either of these perfumes from my family. But as I previously mentioned with so many fragrances available in the shops, it can be easy to mix them up. So when it turned out that they'd bought be a bottle of Carolina Herrera - 212 Sexy, I did feel a little panicked. Buying perfume for someone is very personal and can be difficult, I imagined not liking the smell and having to wear it daily and telling them all how much I loved it until it had all been used up. However upon testing it out, I was pleasantly surprised by this gorgeous perfume, and now think of the mix up as a blessing in disguise.

With heart notes of floral gardenia and cotton candy. Alongside spicy citrus top notes with mandarin pink pepper and base notes of sandalwood and vanilla. Experts describe the perfume as feminine, sensual and sexy. Which I have to agree, perfectly describes it!

So after looking this perfume up on Google, I discovered that there was a connection between Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, 212 VIP and 212 Sexy. They all have the same notes in common, with slightly different variations. I have learnt from this that I am attracted to perfumes with a musky vanilla base, a citrus kick for the top notes and heart notes of white florals. Information on what ingredients make up perfumes is available online, and for me personally, learning this has helped me to venture out and try new fragrances which follow the same note pattern.

I really hope that you've enjoyed reading this, and that this has helped you to decide which scent you'll buy next!
I've told you my favourites, now share yours with me! What's your signature perfume?

A/W 14 Style Hack - The Classic Moschino Belt 'Must Have' Essential Accessory

Hey there!

I hope you've all had a lovely Saturday!

I was particularly excited when I woke up today to find a parcel on the kitchen table, I'd ordered something online weeks ago and had completely forgotten about it! I tore into it immediately to find the 'must have' fashion item that I had been dreaming about for months - literally.

I've always been aware of the amount of celebrities and fashion icons who own a Moschino Belt. You can't flip through a copy of a magazine without seeing one cinching in someone's waist, I had to have one! So after months of searching on end for one at a reasonable price I am finally the proud owner of this iconic belt.

Now usually I'm not one for large branding, but I love the simplicity of it's design. The striking gold letters mounted onto the thick black leather make it strikingly unforgettable. I love how versatile it is too, easy to dress up or down. Pair it with frayed denim shorts for a more relaxed look, or wrap it around a high waisted black bodycon skirt for a touch of added sophistication and style.

Belts are an easy way to create curves where there are none on a more slender frame, or can really define your waist creating the illusion of it being smaller than it is when you're curvier. A big celebrity fan of the Moschino Belt is Kim Kardashian, and I think I speak for must of us when I say I am jealous of her feminine curves.

I can't wait to add this to my outfits, I feel like everyone should own one of these. Especially as it's so on trend for A/W14, it's a style essential! And if I can find someone else able to use my SLR without getting overwhelmed by all the buttons I will post some of the outfits I manage to create with it.

Thank you for reading!

Back to Blogging: Lush Bath Cosmetics

Hey all! I'm back, did you miss me?

I've decided to re submerge myself into the blogging universe. I realised the other day that whilst a time consuming commitment, blogging provided me with a creative outlet that I otherwise would not get the chance to express whilst at work.
I'm hoping to get back into the swing of things by writing new posts at least twice a week, so hopefully you guys will enjoy them!

October is one of my favourite months of the year. I love the cold nights, fluffy jumpers and lazy film days tucked up in bed that come in tow with autumn, but also the arrival of my birthday.

This year I was lucky enough to recieve not one, but two beautiful gift boxes of goodies from my generous boyfriend and sister, of my favourite handmade bath cosmetic brand - Lush. Anyone who knows me will know how I rave about the beautiful colours and smells of all their products which hypnotise me into their stores. As an added bonus Lush are environmentally aware meaning their products are natural and friendly to the planet. They can do no wrong in my eyes.

For photography purposes I have combined both gift sets
(Hello Gorgeous and Cosmic, both available online and in store)

The gift sets both contained a mixture of products, ranging from Lush's infamous bath bombs to their lotions and scrubs. I'm currently making my way through the products so I am unable to pass comment on all of them, but as always, from what I've tried so far I haven't been disappointed.

My absolute favourite product of the two sets is 'The Comforter' bubble bar. This berry scented bar has such a gorgeous scent that leaves your bath water silky soft and bright pink! The bar is large enough to be split in half for two uses and is crumbled under the tap whilst running the water to achieve the luxurious velvety bubbles.

The other product which has really impressed me is the shower scrub 'Rub Rub Rub.' As a dedicated user of Soap & Glory's body scrubs I had never thought to venture into Lush's body scrub range, but I was pleasantly surprised with this product. The consistency is really gritty without being too abrasive and doesn't disintegrate when it comes into contact with water, which makes it perfect for use in the shower. This paired with the blossom scent and sky blue colouring makes a refreshing change from the candy pink exfoliators that Soap & Glory create. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone in the market for trying a new scrub.

So if you love Lush as much as me, what's your favourite product?

I hope you enjoyed this post as it'll be the first of many more hopefully.

Thank you for reading!

In Style: Black Cutout Boots

Hey there! A short but sweet post today..

Had another busy week, but I found the time to buy myself some much needed boots. I ordered these babies from Heelberry online, for a bargain price of £39.99!
The moment I saw these it was love at first sight, I knew I had to own them. Okay so it's not exactly boot season right now but I figured they are an investment piece and seeing as it's still not been particularly warm this week they've also doubled as my work shoes. The patent black, croc cutout style with gold buckles make these both great for day or night and add a touch of glamour to any outfit. I can't believe how long I'd been looking for the perfect black boots and the moment I stopped they appeared!
I seem to be a total shoe addict at the moment, so keep your eyes peeled for my next pair when they arrive, a girl can never have too many shoes.

Hope you had a Happy Sunday!

S/S 14: ASOS Gladiator Espadrilles

Happy Sunday Everyone!

Another item off my March Wishlist has been ticked off! I ordered a pair of these gorgeous pink gladiator espadrilles from ASOS last week and they arrived on Friday! They are a lovely vibrant pink which will look really amazing with a tan in the summer, I can't wait until I can book myself up a holiday somewhere hot so I can where these. They only cost me £15 and are available in this pink or black.
There's not alot I can say about these really. They're super comfortable, a beautiful colour and exactly what I've been looking for! The only thing I wasn't used to when I tried them on was since they have a thick, creeper style sole they were a little strange to walk in at first but that's just something that's easy to get used to in time.

Clinique Cosmetics: Gift Time!

Hey all!

Apologies for not posting this week, it was my first week at work after being ill and I have been totally shattered by the time I get home, but I have a good couple of posts planned out for the next week now so keep your eyes peeled!

Anyway I wanted to show you all my lovely purchase this week, I went into Boots looking for one of Clinique's chubby sticks since it was on my March Wishlist and came out with a whole tin full of goodies because it is gift time.

So basically for anyone who doesn't know how this works you have to buy two product to receive their free gift. I picked up their Rinsing Foaming Cleanser because I love how it doesn't leave my skin dry but actually makes it totally squeaky clean. And my other item was a chubby stick (YAY!) in the colour Two Ton Tomato, I was worried this was going to be a really bright red but once it's applied it's a gorgeous sheer glossy colour that can be built up to your preferred vibrancy.

Now onto the gift. Beautifully packaged in a gorgeous white tin with strawberries and flowers all over it, it really screams spring/summer! Inside I received 6 mini sample items:

Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion
Rinse Off Foaming Cleanser
Superbalm Moisturizing Gloss
Even Better Foundation (Shade 3 for me)
High Impact Mascara
All About Eyes Cream

So far I have only tested out the moisturizer, lipgloss and cleanser and I have loved each of them! What was brilliant as well was I got to use my Boots vouchers I received in the post so I'm now up to £35 worth of points to spend on my card - if I ever decide what I want..

Do you save your points? Or do you spend them here and there?

Hope you enjoyed today's post!

Vintage Decor: Teacup Candle

Hey Everyone!

Today my Mum picked up this gorgeous candle for me from a local vintagey store, I don't know what you'd call it exactly but it's filled with loads of shabby chic bits and lovely ornate pieces of furniture, mirrors etc.
I was so happy with this because I actually have quite a few china plates and jars in this pink pattern, but before you all laugh and think I'm some kind of old woman let me explain.
Growing up I watched my mum collect the blue version of this china and she now has a beautiful dresser in our kitchen with the full set. As a kid I was desperate for my own and with my favourite colour being pink I've slowly gone about collecting a few key pieces for my room. I hope that when I have my own house I can have a dresser full of lovely china to display too.

Do you collect anything or have you bought anything new for your room?

Wishlist: March 2014

Hey there!

So being stuck in bed ill has left me totally bored (me + too much time = internet shopping) so like usual I've been drooling over all the lovely things that are available out there, putting them all into my online shopping cart and then laughing crazily as I close the tab because the total amount was waaay over my budget.
Instead I've just pasted all the photos I found online into a document and will hopefully work my way through purchasing them - fingers crossed.

1. Guerlain Météorites - These look good enough to eat! and not only do they look edible they are supposed to be the best way for achieving a healthy radiant glow.
2. Clinque Chubby Stick - I've yet to get my hands on these, I've tried the Revlon Dupes but I really want the real deal they come in such gorgeous colours.
3. Clinique Cheek Pop Blush - From the moment I saw this daisy shaped blush in a magazine I knew I needed it. Sadly I haven't found it in Boots yet.
4. Benefit Watt's Up! - I've seen a few bloggers writing about this and it has such a lovely golden shimmer it'll be perfect for the summer sunshine.
5. Pink Gladiator Espadrilles - These shoes are so on trend, and available on ASOS for £15.00! Watch this space I'm going to own these bad boys!
6. Cream Boxy Lock Bag - This cute bag is also available on ASOS for £25.00 I really need a smaller bag for weekends and days out.

Hopefully I can pick out a few of these after payday, hope you liked my choices!

Review: Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish

Hey everyone!

I'm actually in bed with Tonsillitis at the moment so although I'm not feeling my best I'm spending the time I'm not sleeping planning new posts woo! This has also given me time to try out the new nail polish I bought last weekend, a little pamper sesh to make me feel better.
So during my last trip to Superdrug I picked up these three colours by one of my favourite nail polish brands Maybelline, I love their Color Show polishes because they don't chip, are very glossy and you only need one layer to get a really strong colour so they're perfect when I'm pushed for time! Plus at only £2.99 each and a 3 for 2 offer, it would of been rude not to..

(Left to Right: Corals Up / In Your Flesh / Winter Baby )

I seem to have an abundance of dark wintery colours at the moment so these definitely screamed at me to buy them immediately, I love corals and the recent sunny whether has called for a spring transformation so when this caught my eye it was love at first sight, it's a gorgeous orange-pink that isn't too bright that it looks out of place this time of year.
I've been looking for a good nude nail polish for a while now, I've found most of them are very streaky and thin, but not this one. 'in your flesh' is the perfect nude match for me, and applies beautifully in one stroke. I love the nude mannequin hand trend, it is elegant but doesn't detract away from your outfit or makeup.
Finally despite being called 'winter baby' there is nothing wintery about this choice!
I'd been using up my Barry M white nail polish first before allowing myself to pick up another one, and I'd always been disappointed with it's tippex appearance which needed lashings of top coat to give it a shine. Needless to say I was apprehensive about buying this one but I'm glad I did, it's so glossy and lovely! It does require a few coats to build up a strong white base, but I can live with that when it's durable and in my opinion could be passed off as gel nails (as could all these colours!)

What's your favourite spring nail polish colour?

Review: Beauty Makeup Brushes

I have a variety of makeup brushes in my room, all different shapes and sizes for different uses and recently my beloved BareMinerals ones were looking a bit past it. So having previously bought brush sets on Amazon I thought I'd give it another whirl and choose a set which took my fancy.
The first set I bought on Amazon a year ago was by Fraulein3°8 and although the leopard packaging was really cute the actual brushes left me very unimpressed, they molted and shed hairs on my face and in my makeup. So after scrolling through what seemed like hundreds of reviews I finally came across these babies!
The 11pcs pro makeup brush brushes cosmetic powder tool kit set with bag, these brushes are so gorgeous. I paid £10.99 with free delivery which is a total bargain for 11 brushes! They don't shed, they blend my makeup perfectly and even last well after being washed regularly. I umm-ed and aah-ed over the pretty pink brush sets that are available online, but am glad I ordered these because even though they aren't the prettiest things out there they definitely do their job well! My favourites out of the bunch are definitely the kabuki brushes.
So if like me you're on the market for some good makeup brushes at a decent price I would definitely recommend you invest in these.

Hope you enjoyed my post!

Tag: Beauty Procrastination

Hey there!

A few days ago I was nominated for this tag by the lovely Cristina, and I'm always up for answering questions and find it interesting reading everyone else's answers so I'm giving this a shot.
 Thanks for the nomination Cristina!

Oh and please excuse the poor iPhone picture, my camera battery was taking too long to charge up!

I'd say I'm pretty private I like to keep things to myself, unless of course it's something exciting then I'm just bursting to tell anyone!

2. If money was no object, where would you move to?

I'd probably buy my own island and live the rest of my days out in some tropical paradise

3. Who was the last person to make you cry?

Gosh I don't remember it may have been a film I watched recently if that counts..

4. Is there a song that can bring you to tears instantly?

Can't say there is actually I'm a bit of a tough cookie with music

Hmm I'd like to say yes, it's a lovely idea to have one person you're made to be with but finding them is the hard part!

6. What age do people usually mistake you for?

I rarely get people getting my age wrong, although the other week someone thought I was 23 which I was a bit confused about

7. What are you wearing?

My comfy leopard onesie, it's so snuggly!

8. Have you ever been in love?

Hmm I don't think so, but my love for chocolate and cosmetics is undying

Last time I checked 5'3

Lipgloss 100% I cannot stand having chapped lips

17. When going out somewhere how long does it take you to get ready?

Hair and makeup can be done in under an hour, but choosing an outfit can take me hours of trying clothing on before I find what feels right because I struggle majorly when making snap decisions

18. How organised is your makeup and nail polish collection?

I recently organised my room so for the moment it is all neat and tidy, don't know how long that'll last..

Review: Eucerin Aquaporin Active

I have particularly sensitive skin which from time to time reacts badly to makeup or face washes causing it to dry out and be a total pain when I go to apply foundation. The last couple of weeks have been really bad for me to the point where my usual moisturisers and E45 cream haven't relieved my skin at all. So I decided I need to go to Boots and look for an alternative product to help me out. I knew I wanted a thicker, more intensive cream which wasn't perfumed, what I found ticked all the boxes!

The Aquaporin Active moisturising cream by Eucerin, is a dermatological skincare brand and after googling them it turns out that 'aquaporins' are actually natural channels in your skin and apparently this cream uses those channels to distribute the moisture evenly (not sure how much of the science stuff I believe, I'm a bit sceptical.) However I cannot deny how well this works for me, the cream is so rich that you only need a pea sized amount for your whole face and I find the results to be like a miracle! I applied this onto my poor chapped skin before bed and when I woke up the next day it was like I had been reborn. This will definitely be my go to moisturiser before bed; even though the box also suggests using it as a base under makeup but I think that due to the richness of the cream it would be too greasy.

I am so glad I found this, I will definitely be trying other products within their range too!
Have you found your perfect moisturiser?

OOTD: Today's Arm Candy

Hey everyone I'm really excited today because I've finally managed to bag myself a new job full time! I've been working for a little while part time since leaving college last year and endless looking has finally paid off! So starting next week I'll be working everyday but will aim to fit blogging into my time because I really have enjoyed writing about the things I love.
So after I had my trial day I thought I'd share with you all my jewellery I decided to wear, I wanted it to be chic, simple and smart so I paired my white blouse with silver accessories; in my opinion silver is definitely great for an understated elegance.
For work, I think wearing a watch is a must (although I always wear a watch so I would think that!) I wore my over sized silver chronograph 'Unlisted' watch. Some might think that larger watches have a tendency to look masculine, but this particular one has diamanté detailing on the numbers which adds a feminine touch. I paired this with my silver Cartier love bracelet because it's simple design wouldn't get in the way, last thing I wanted was it catching on things!
As for rings, I put on my opal ring I bought in the sale in Accessorize last summer with a vintage silver ring which used to belong to my mum. I believe jewellery is vital in completing any outfit and doesn't have to be brightly coloured to create interest. Just like my mum always says 'less is more.'

I hope you enjoyed today's post!

Today's Obsession: Rose Gold

Hey there! I haven't posted in a while because I'd been ill for a little while and this month seems to be flying past so quick I don't even know where the weeks have gone. So I'll get straight into my February obsession which I hadn't even realised until the other day, that everything I seem to be using/buying at the moment is rose gold.
Ever since I bought my Cartier bracelet dupes the rose gold one has definitely been my favourite, I pair it with a matching Geneva watch I bought on Amazon last summer alongside other jewellery from Oasis.
Next up were two sale items I bought in Debenhams after Christmas, I purchased a set of 4 mini Lancome juicy tubes which I have always been a fan of because of their long lasting glossy effect and my current favourite of them all is this peachy coloured tube with tiny gold shimmers through it because it looks fantastic over a coral/pink lipstick or even on it's own.
My second purchase was the bare minerals eye shadow palette 'The Affair to Remember' this gorgeous palette had to be mine from the moment I saw it, with subtle colours in shades of brown, green & lilac there's a colour to suite all eyes and moods! The packaging is lovely in a slim line, rose gold mirrored compact it's very chic and perfect for travelling because it's so lightweight. The only downside to the compact is because it's mirrored it really highlights finger prints  which if you're a little ocd like myself can be irritating. I find the first three colours in the top left of the palette 'Curtsy, Valet & Debutante' are great for an everyday smokey eye and don't make you look as though you're wearing heavy makeup.
Another eye shadow getting a lot of use is the Seventeen solo eyeshadow pot from Boots (I sadly don't have a name for this product because it's worn off) I love love love this shadow it's a pink rose gold colour which just warms my complexion and compliments my eye colouring plus for a cheaper product it's highly pigmented so the staying power is brilliant.

I recently received a The Balm blusher as a gift in the shade Hot Mama! which I was over the moon about because I'd been eyeing up these blushes forever but couldn't decide on the shade I wanted but I am so excited about this one! It's a gorgeous pinky coral colour which has a highlighting gold shimmer so it really gives you a healthy glow, you don't need much on your brush to get a colour and it applies smoothly and evenly. I love this one so much I will definitely be purchasing 'Cabana Boy' in the near future.
Another makeup purchase has been the Maybelline Coloursensational lipstick in shade Coral Pearl 852, a girl can never have too many nude lipsticks for everyday use, this is my most used at the moment. It's really moisturising and has a lovely sheen to it once applied, I have a few of these lipsticks in other colours so it's needless to say I'm a fan.
And finally anyone who read my last post will have already seen my new purse, but it's so gorgeous and fits in with my rose gold theme so it totally deserves to make a second appearance in my opinion!
Hopefully now I'm better I'll be more consistent with my posts again so bear with me guys,

Thanks for reading!

S/S 14: Primark Haul

I had been looking for a new bag the last few months but hadn't seen anything that really jumped out at me, it was always the wrong colour, shape or size. I'd been on instagram looking at all the people who owned beautiful Mulberry bags so when I popped into Primark the other day and saw this beauty on the shelf I knew I had to have it! Although you can't really see in the photograph the bag is a very subtle pinky nude colour, and to me the structure style and fastening is very similar to Mulberry. The pale shade is so on trend for S/S seeing as everyone's gone crazy for pastels and ice cream shades! Plus it's a great purchase at only £12 which doesn't break my budget.
And whilst I was browsing through the accessories I came across this beautiful coral purse, although there's nothing wrong with my current one (I bought it in Topshop back in September) it's a burgundy colour so I felt like I needed to treat myself to one for spring. And I'm so glad I did! This purse has so much space for cards and the cute coin section inside means I don't have to fiddle around with zips, I have the worst history with breaking zips on bags. The colour's vibrant and the quilting makes it look more expensive than the £5 I paid for it.
I bought a few other basics like vest tops and leggings but nothing I felt was particularly interesting to add onto this post. I'm still looking for a cute smaller cross body bag but there's so many nice ones online I can't decide on a colour!

Hope you enjoyed this post,

Cartier Love Bracelets - The Perfect Valentine's Day Present and Style Hack

cartier love bracelets, cartier, jewellery, jewellers, dupe, fake, buy cheap, cartier love, ring, screw, rose gold, silver, gold, cartiver love ring, engagement, anniversary

cartier love bracelets, cartier, jewellery, jewellers, dupe, fake, buy cheap, cartier love, ring, screw, rose gold, silver, gold, cartiver love ring, engagement, anniversary
Happy Valentine's Day to everyone who reads my blog! I hope even if you don't have a date today you're still feeling the love! I treated myself a couple of weeks back to some bracelets online (yes I know I'm an addict to online shopping) and since they are the Cartier Love bracelets there isn't a more fitting day to make this post.
Before Christmas I bought just the single gold bracelet on eBay for a bargain £1.99 and when it arrived I wore it every day, until I lost it last month and was totally gutted. So I reordered it but got a bit carried away and invested in one of each colour. Anyone who read my post last month will know I have the matching ring. Now obviously for £1.99 these aren't the real deal. Working part time won't allow me to even buy half of one of those real bracelets, but I have to say these are the next best thing. I love simple jewelry and these bangles are great, they snap on and the colour doesn't rub off even after wearing perfume all day. There's not alot more I can say about these apart from that everyone should own at least one and that I'm so pleased I have 3 different shades: gold, silver & rose gold to match all my outfits.

I hope you've all had a lovely day!
