My Top 5 New Year's Resolutions - The Little Things I'd Like to Change in 2016

To all the lovely people who take the time to read my blog posts, I'm so sorry that I haven't posted in a while. Just when I was beginning to organise and sort my blog out, with Christmas on the horizon and some stuff that has happened in my personal life, I've not been left feeling particularly inspired to start writing about my latest beauty 'must-haves.'

Since it's coming up to the end of 2015 though, I want to take this opportunity to reflect on the year's events and write myself a few goals for 2016.

When I look at how this year started, whether it be who I welcomed the new year in with, the friends and family in my life and my job etc. I can see how much can truly change in 365 days. Like everyone, I had conventional resolutions - join the gym, drink more water, find a new job, and I'm proud to say that I actually achieved everything on my list, even finding true happiness for a while and reducing my own personal struggles.

But for 2016 I feel as though I have a very different perspective on how many things I'd like to see change. In place of some of the more materialistic resolutions I made last year, I really want to achieve more for my own personal development.

1. Push myself out of my comfort zone on a weekly basis.

They say that change can't happen until you break out of your cycle and choose a new path to take, and this is something I've definitely learnt towards the latter end of 2015. Prime examples of having pushed myself out of my comfort zone this year were finding a new job and attending a blogging event in London by myself - both of which I couldn't have done without the encouragement of one person in particular. I'd like to see myself evolve this year to be a more confident and self assured individual who gets less stressed at the little things - it'll take time, but it's baby steps until then!

2. Spend less time worrying about things that I can't control.

Whether it's stressing about what someone really thinks about me, or trying to achieve perfection on a personal project, I'm want to choose to be more relaxed. This year I definitely focused too hard on trying to change and control everything, and lost sight of what was most important to me. I'd like 2016 to be more about enjoying the here and now instead of worrying what the future will hold for me.

3. Appreciate the people who are there for me.

It's easy to focus on what you don't have, over what you do, and this is something I've been incredibly guilty of over the last year. I want to reverse this way of thinking and be thankful for everyone who manages to make me smile, or takes the time to send a little love my way. I don't want to take for granted any of the bonds I make because you never know when they suddenly have to end - whether it's family, friendships or relationships, make the most of every moment.

4. Improve my overall health.

I've been under a lot of stress at times over the last year, and although I do consider myself to be a fairly tough person, I'm definitely guilty of neglecting myself when I have a lot going on. I achieved my personal goals of getting fit and joining the gym, and even ran 5K with a friend back in the summer, but this year I want to make some bigger lifestyle changes. I'd like to swap junk food and snacks for healthier choices, stop drinking as much caffeine, relax so I'm able to sleep better, and fit more exercise into my weeks. I'm always aware of how much happier I am after working out and I want to make this part of my routine and who I am, instead of something I have to do begrudgingly.

5. Do the things I want to because they make me happy.

Whether it's working out, travelling, getting creative or blogging, I want to spend more time exploring the things that make me happy. The people who make you feel true happiness when you're with them won't always be around to make you smile, they have to chase their own passions too. Instead of depending on others, I want to ensure that I can occupy my own mind and fill it with my own sources of happiness too, so that I can reach a balanced medium.

Of course I could probably continue writing on forever more about personal goals, but I think I'll leave it here with my top 5. I'd still like to improve my blog, go on holiday and tick off things on my bucket list, but I feel like this year I'd like to make the above a priority first. I realise this has been a pretty personal post, and completely different to everything else I've ever written on here, but being honest with yourself and others is a good way to start making the little changes - plus sometimes I feel like I just want to write something a little more real, you know?
So tell me, do you have any resolutions, wishes, goals or dreams for 2016? If you've taken the time to read this I hope I've inspired you to make some positive changes too.

Until next time..

The Perfect Christmas Stocking Filler: Dachshund 'Hug Me' Rings from My Pup Boutique

I'm so excited to share with you all my latest purchase, from a post I saw advertised on Facebook! Those who know me personally will know I'm obsessed with dogs of all shapes and sizes - I'm not fussy! But I have a particular soft spot in my heart for Pugs and Sausage Dogs - growing up as a kid we had a little pug called Rosie and she provided so many hilarious moments and much love to my whole family. I just love the way that dogs will love you unconditionally and there's no limit to their affection.

Anyway when I saw a page called 'My Pup Boutique' pop up on Facebook saying they were giving away free Dachshund Rings on their website, I clicked straight over and bought one for myself. It wasn't technically free since I still had to pay for shipping but I didn't care, the ring was too sweet to leave behind.

The 'Hug Me' design makes it look like you have a miniature Sausage Dog wrapped around your finger and is fully adjustable so it'll fit all finger sizes. Though it was available in Bronze, Silver or Black, I chose the Bronze. The little face on the Dachshund is so cute and has so much personality, it's a real fun and quirky statement piece!

My Pup Boutique specialise in products for almost every breed of dog, whether you have a penchant for Poodles, a calling for Chihuahuas or a passion for Pomeranians, every single one of their rings is free - you only have to pay for the cost of shipping! So if you have a friend or loved one who's after a puppy for Christmas, I'd definitely recommend this as a stocking filler for them!

In an attempt to further satisfy the sausage dog sized void in my life at the minute, I've done a little surfing on the internet to find the cutest Dachshund themed essentials..
(anyone reading this who I know, I really love the PJs *hint hint nudge nudge*)

(left to right)
1. New Look Grey Split Sausage Dog Heart Print Socks - £1.99
2. Topshop Sausage Dog Tape Dispenser - £11
3. ASOS Sausage Dog Tee & Short Pyjama Set - £20
4. Alexis Dove Sausage Dog Jumper Pendant - £110
5. Accessorize All Over Sausage Dog Sock - £3.50
6. Not On The High Street Doggy Fabric Keyrings Dachshund - £6
7. Etsy Sausage Dog in a Jumper Illustrated Print - £5.00
8. Oh Deer Dachshund Anatomy Postcard - £0.75
9. Accessorize Mr & Mrs Sausage Dog Socks - £3.50

Do you have a pet dog, if so what breed is it? I'd love to get to know you all a little better and find out!

Style Edit: Daisy London Jewellery - Rose Gold 30" Halo Locket Holder Necklace & Matching Base Chakra Coin

If any of you read my earlier Rose Gold appreciation post, you'll know that one of the items on my wishlist was a Daisy London Halo Locket Necklace. And when it comes to wishlists, I swear there is nothing more satisfying that ticking some of your favourites off - it didn't take me long to hunt exactly what I wanted down, and I'm so glad I did!

Daisy's Halo Locket Necklaces are essentially the same as a classic locket, but better. The holders, are aptly named Halo, due to their circular design, and open up so that you can pop in a coin of your choice from the Halo range. Daisy have a whole assortment of coins on their website for you to choose from, from Letters and Symbols to my personal favourite, Chakras

I personally chose the Rose Gold Halo Locket Holder with the 30" chain because I was in need of a longer statement necklace, but the beautiful thing about Daisy's jewellery is it's available in Silver, Rose and Yellow Gold, and the Halo Holders come with either an 18" or 30" chain - they're beautiful when layered or the metals mixed & matched for a two-tone effect.

When it came down to choosing a Chakra, I wanted to select the one that spoke to me the most and not just base my choice on the design I liked best - I like to keep an open mind when it comes to spiritual practices, though I don't fully understand how they really work I think they seem very powerful. In the end I ended up going for the 'Base Chakra.'

A lovely finishing touch added into my packaging was a miniature booklet explaining my Chakra, along with the others to me in further detail. The Base Chakra is otherwise referred to as 'Muladhara' and is linked with Stability, Grounding and Prosperity. Located at the base of the spine, it's colour is red and demon is fear - as someone who can be a bit of a worrier at times, this resonated with me.

The necklace itself is very beautiful and looks fantastic layered over some of my chunky jumpers this winter, but I also know it'll give off beachy-boho vibes in the summer and look great whether at a festival or on holiday.

I'll definitely be making future purchases from the brand, whether it's a different coin for my Halo Locket Holder or I try out a new collection - I've been eyeing up some of the unique plectrum designs in their collaborative collection with the beautiful Laura Whitmore, if you haven't seen it for yourself it's definitely worth having a browse online!

So what do you think of Daisy London's jewellery? Let me know by commenting below!

Until next time..

Vaseline Limited Edition 'Sugar Coated' Lip Balm Review

Anyone who's been following my blog for a while will know about my obsession with lip balms, but for those of you who are new to my blog, I'll give you a little insight into what I mean.

Not only have I got an extensive collection of lip balm tins (I seem to pick up at least one every time I see one I don't own yet) but I have somehow managed to collect every single Vaseline flavour that's been available over the years, even the Limited Edition ones like the original Lulu Guinness tin and the extended Lulu Guinness collection. And to top off my obsessive behaviour, I have them all stored inside a giant Vaseline tin that I received a few years back. Hope that's given you all a little background history - I'm officially the 'Crazy Lip Balm Lady.'

Anyway as you can imagine, when I happened to stumble upon the exciting new Vaseline Limited Edition Sugar Coated Lip Balm whilst I was out shopping, it was added into my basket without question.

The tin is gorgeous and undoubtedly one of my favourites yet, the tiny pink sugar crystals look so sweet! Inside, the balm has a subtle pink hue - unlike the rose tinted shades this one won't make your lips look any pinker, but will give them a sort of natural iridescence that's perfect for when you want to go 'au natural' for the day.

The scent, like the name suggests, is very sugary - who knew eh? But it also kind of reminds me of being a sweeter version of Vaseline's previous Limited Edition Pink Champagne flavour, so if you were a fan of that and are running out now, you should definitely replace it with this before it disappears!

I actually found my tin in Tesco, but you can pick this little gem up in Boots for £2.99, which isn't bad at all considering I'll pay up to £4.99 for a Balmi lip balm.

Have you tried Vaseline's Sugar Coated Lip Balm yet? Or do you have a lip balm staple you always go back to? Let me know below so I can expand my collection!

Until next time..

New Look Lingerie - The Perfect Black Bralette

Hola!

Only a short post today since I'm pushed for time, but I just had to share with you all my latest purchase from New Look!

I've been searching for a gorgeous lace bralette for a while now; inspired by the many delicate, bespoke creations I've seen on Etsy and Instagram. The only problem I've found myself up against is finding something of a suitable size, since it seems a lot of lacey lingerie isn't really suited to girls with a little more going on up top - which is such a shame because I would totally buy all of them. So when I was scrolling through New Look and saw this Black DD-G Lace Caged Bralette in Size 8 for only £9.99, I had to snap it up straight away!

Not only is this bralette super supportive, it's so detailed! I love the contrast between the sweet, feminine lace and the edgier, caged straps - it's literally the perfect combination. I originally bought this with plans of wearing it around the house for some off-duty styling, but now I've tried it on I really want to find a way of styling it with sheer fabric the peek-a-boo lingerie trend that's very on trend at the minute

As I said only a short post, but I really want to get into doing some more fashion blogging where I can photograph some of my outfits, I'm just waiting for a day of decent weather (fingers crossed for me please haha!)

Until next time..

Switching up my Daily Skincare Routine: Lush Ultrabland Cleanser Review

Lush Ultrabland Cleanser Review

It's been a constant battle over the years to try and re-hydrate my dry skin and since I've always been prone to sensitive skin on certain areas of my face, it wasn't a surprise that last week I had a reaction to something my skin clearly didn't agree with.

In a desperate bid to fix and replenish my sore skin, I ran to Boots on my lunch hour and picked up every kind of deep moisturising and healing products I could find - from Eucerin & Sudocrem to E45 and Nivea, you name it I probably purchased it!

Lush Ultrabland Cleanser Review

Sadly for me everything I put on my skin had no effect, my eyelids in particular were so sore and anything that even went near them stung like hell - not a pleasant experience at all.

In my desperation I turned to Lush Cosmetics - I love love LOVE Lush products and regularly purchase their bath bombs, melts and jellies but haven't ever really paid much attention to their other skincare products. So I sent a quick email to their customer service team (the subject quite literally was S.O.S Skincare haha!) and a day later I received a super helpful email from a lovely lady called Keilly giving me all sorts of advice, and in particular giving their cleanser 'Ultrabland' a glowing report. She told me to purchase a pot and if I wasn't happy with the results, I'd receive a full refund, so with that incentive in mind I headed straight to the checkout and picked up the product.

Lush Ultrabland Cleanser Review

Ultrabland cleanser is an all natural product that includes ingredients such as Almond Oil, Rose Water, Beeswax and Honey. When I opened the pot I was surprised by the thickness, I'd assumed it'd have a runnier texture but it was more of a butter than a cream which actually made the application a lot easier!

I tested it out straight way, smoothing the product all over my face - although it was silky smooth, I felt tiny little granules which gave a sort of gentle exfoliation. Once I worked it into my skin, I remove it using hot water and cotton wool pads - Ultrabland really leaves my skin feeling relaxed and moisturised, to the point that I'm sure if I missed out on moisturiser for a couple of days, it wouldn't have too much of an affect.

Lush Ultrabland Cleanser Review

Of course I've only been using this product for a week so it's very early days - only time will tell whether this cleanser has a lasting effect on my skin! But one thing I will say is that removing my makeup was a chore before I discovered this, I don't know whether it's the novelty of trying out an all natural product but I'm really enjoying using it.

Have you tried Ultrabland cleanser or any of Lush's skincare products - leave me a comment below if there's a miracle product you've discovered that I haven't heard of yet, I'd love to know!

Until next time..

Nails of the Day: Nails Inc London Nail Polish - Hyde Park Place

It's typical isn't it, it's been relatively dry all week outside whilst I've been stuck inside my office at work, it hits the weekend and the heavens open! So I guess my nail polish choice for the today is pretty suited to the rubbish winter weather I'm currently experiencing - it's barely light enough to even take decent photos for this post!

I'm a massive fan of muted nail polish shades, don't get me wrong I love deep shades of red and purple too, but lately it's been all about the nude pinks & café latte shades - so when I rediscovered this Nails Inc polish in the shade 'Hyde Park Place' I knew it'd be making an appearance during my weekend pampering sesh.

This polish originally came in a pack of four polishes and weirdly I also ended up receiving the exact same shade again a year later within my Latest in Beauty box - which was super handy considering how gorgeous this colour is!

Sadly for me my nails really don't grow much longer than they are in these pictures, they're so soft and break really easily, so if anyone is taking any miracle-working nail supplements tell me your secrets! I do like the fact that this post has allowed me to try on some of my favourite jewellery pieces for y'all, including some of the newest Pandora charms I was lucky enough to receive for my 21st - I mean how cute is the little bunny charm *insert heart eyes emoji lol*

If you're looking for a unique hue, I'd definitely say grey is the way to go. I see so many beautiful white manicured nails on Instagram but because I'm rocking the pale winter look, white nails just don't look all that on me, so this is a fantastic alternative.

What nail polish shade are you loving at the moment, or can you reccommend me a brand or colour to try out? Leave me a comment below!

Until next time..

Born Pretty Store Makeup Review - 'Liquid Moisturising' Long-Lasting Lip Gloss Pen

Born Pretty Lipgloss

Aloha!

So anyone who read my last Born Pretty review post will know that I was approached by the company and asked to select a couple of products in return for honest reviews of the products, and today's post is no different!

As my second Born Pretty product to review I opted for a lip gloss - not at all my usual type of make up product, as I tend to stick with velvet finish lipsticks in dark shades. Stepping out of my comfort zone I chose to give the 'Liquid Moisturising' Long-Lasting Lip Gloss Pen in Shade 02 a go.

Born Pretty Lipgloss

If I'm honest the main motive behind picking this product out was once again the packaging, like the waterproof eyeliner from my previous post, the box looked completely gorgeous and my immediate thoughts were 'that is so bloggable,' because I know you all, like me, go crazy for something floral and cute!

Moving onto the actual product I was actually completely shocked by the colour, it was much much brighter than I anticipated it to be - I was expecting a bright pink but not quite this vivid, something a little more natural. But not one to be beaten by a beauty product, I still decided to put it through its paces and let you all know about how I found it.

The pen itself is very handy, a twist up design allows you to push up exactly the right amount of lipgloss you need, meaning you'll never waste any unnecessary amounts of product. I always love the fact that the packaging is clear, because you can see how much you use and how much is left - nothing more annoying than not realising you've run out of one of your everyday essentials!

Born Pretty Lipgloss

Whilst the applicator brush and pen are really practical and well made, the lip gloss itself is where I had a little bit of a 'sticky situation.' Thicker than the other lip glosses I own, this particular product is more reminiscent of Lancôme's Juicy Tubes in consistency - if you're a fan of thick lip products then this is definitely for you!

Because the consistency was thicker than I initially anticipated, I had a little trouble applying it evenly to my lips, but once I got into the swing of it I was able to give myself an even coverage. Highly pigmented and very glossy indeed, I can see why it's called 'liquid moisturising!' As the title suggests the product did stay in place for multiple hours without smudging, but I have to be honest and say I was very aware of it on my mouth - if you're more of a 'less is more' kind of girl when it comes to lip balms, I wouldn't recommend this for your barely-there look.

*Please excuse my onesie, I was have a super relaxing afternoon when I took these photos for this post and really didn't feel like getting changed - hopefully you understand the comfort levels & share the same love for onesies as I do!

Born Pretty Lipgloss Test

That said for a night out on the town this lip gloss will provide the perfect finishing touch to your makeup by adding an irresistibly shiny pop of colour to your pout. So if you're intrigued to give this product a go, or discover more in Born Pretty Store's extensive beauty range, I've got a little code for you all to try out!

If you enter GEOH10 at the checkout you'll receive 10% off your entire order - you'll be able to grab yourself a real bargain with this, since everything on their website is pretty affordable!

I hope I've inspired you to have a little browse through their products and discover some of their hidden gems for yourself - let me know if anything in particular catches your eye!

Winter Wishlist: The Top 'Must Have' Rose Gold Accessories

Exploding onto the fashion and jewellery scene, Summer 2015 saw the rise in demand for Rose Gold everything! Even now as we transition from Autumn into Winter, the highstreets are filled to the brim with beautiful rose tinted shades.

I won't lie, at first I really hated the fiery metal. The shade seemed gaudy and less sophisticated than the luxurious silver and gold metallics I was used to - I saw it as a bit of a fad that would soon pass, a metal suited to summer festivals and the warmth of tropical sunshine. However despite my best efforts to avoid the hue at all costs, it seems that it's crept under my skin and gone straight to the little section of my brain that's screaming 'BUY ME!' whenever I go out shopping - it's official I've been bitten by the Rose Gold bug.

The hue just seems so inviting and appealing to me now - warmer than silver, but pinker than yellow gold, it's the perfect in between shade for those who can't quite make up their mind! Plus the colour is incredibly versatile, it'll compliment your palette no matter your skin tone or the colours you decide to wear (which is a complete godsend for me since I've given up tanning and I'm now Paley McPalerson!)

Sadly for my purse strings though, this new obsession of mine will come with a certain price tag. I've already spent my last two evenings compiling a whole wishlist of accessories I feel I just can't go on without. I'm heading to London this weekend to see the Christmas lights turn on and I just know I won't be able to resist the temptations on Oxford Street, and I'll return with my arms laden down with shopping bags.

With this thought in mind here's the crème de la crème of the Rose Gold gems I've been lusting over that have earnt themselves a spot on my 'Winter Wishlist':

Upcycling Inspiration: Repurposing my Vintage Glass Decanter into a Luxury Bubble Bath Bottle

Aloha!

When one of my friends gifted me a vintage glass decanter as a birthday present, I was a little stumped as to what I was going to do with it. Too large to large to sit anywhere comfortably in my bedroom and too mismatched to sit with my parent's own set of decanters, I had to think outside the box as to what I was going to do with it.

I'm a bit of a self-confessed hoarder, if you've ever seen the episode of Keeping up with the Kardashians, where Kourtney ends up trying to reclaim the items she put into the jumble sale, then you'll have a pretty good idea of the kind of emotional attachment I find in even the smallest of items - but I mean, you can't just throw out a perfectly good glass decanter!

My moment of up-cycling inspiration came when I was relaxing in the bath - the place where all great thinkers find their 'Eureka moment'. Looking at the latest bottle of 'high-end' bubble bath sitting on the shelf, in a cheap, plastic bottle, it got me thinking. If a decanter is designed to have spirits and alcohol poured into it, why can't I put my bubble bath in there instead? So 5 minutes of meticulous pouring and shaky hands later, and I had my very own decorative bubble bath bottle - the perfect addition to my bathroom, giving it a sophisticated-glamour and slightly vintage feel too!

It wasn't the only idea I'd had planned for the little gem though, I initially toyed with the idea of placing fairy or Christmas lights inside and using it as a lantern to give my bedroom a little relaxed, mood lighting, but as I mentioned I sadly don't have the space for it.

I hope this has inspired you all to look at the simplest of items in a new way, and try finding an alternative purpose for them - you never know what you'll conjure up!

Leave me a little comment if you've recently upcycled something yourself - I always love hearing about crafty tips and tricks to try out for myself.

Until next time..

The Perfect Present for Chocolate Lovers | Charbonnel et Walker Handbag & Heels

Hello!

Charbonnel et Walker Chocolate Handbag & Heels in Pink and Gold Packaging from John Lewis

Following National Chocolate Week and the recent celebrations of my 21st birthday, what better time to celebrate some tasty, edible treats!

Amidst some truly lovely gifts that I received (which I'm sure will be featured on here at some point for all those curious people out there) it wouldn't be a birthday without a few boxes of chocolates - staying true to form, my family and friends picked up some tasty treats for me to enjoy!

Charbonnel et Walker Chocolate Handbag & Heels in Pink and Gold Packaging from John Lewis

By far my personal favourite though were the Charbonnel et Walker chocolates I received from my work colleagues. Upon unwrapping the gift, I cast my eyes over a hot pink and gold leaf handbag which hosted a pair of miniature chocolate high heels - I must admit there was a moment where I thought I'd never lust over another pair of Louboutins again! The dinky high heels were crafted from Belgian chocolate (yum!) and each split in half, into four equal slices of chocolate.

Charbonnel et Walker Chocolate Handbag & Heels in Pink and Gold Packaging from John Lewis

Completely delicious, beautifully packaged and the perfect present, these chocolate shoes are available to purchase from John Lewis - if the person you're buying for isn't so keen on shades of pink though, the milk chocolate heels are also available in white and gold packaging for a more neutral look. The packaging isn't the only decision making factor you'll face though, you can also opt for dark chocolate depending on the preference of your tastebuds - either way I'm sure you'll be able to make a tasty choice! Or if you're a self-confessed chocoholic like me, you might just want to take all three home for yourself! Let me know which one you'd pick by leaving a comment below.

Thank you for reading my post - I hope it didn't leave you feeling too peckish!

Until next time..

Born Pretty Store Makeup Review - The Perfect Cat's Eye Waterproof Eyeliner

Born Pretty Store Waterproof Eyeliner
 Hello!

I was approached a couple of weeks ago by the company Born Pretty Store and asked to write a couple of reviews of their products - I'm always interested in writing blogs such as this not only because I get to try out brands and products that I may not have normally come across, but also because it's a lot of fun! I do just quickly want to mention though, that although I received a few complimentary products in exchange for an honest review, all the thoughts are my own.

I chose three items from Born Pretty Store to review and this is the first product I can honestly say I've tried and tested, so I'm really excited to share this gorgeous eyeliner with you all! I chose the 'Extremely Thin Eyeliner Pen Black Lasting Waterproof Eyeliner Pen' to put through its paces.

Born Pretty Store Waterproof Eyeliner

I'm not going to lie, my decision to pick this product was entirely swayed by the pretty pink packaging and I didn't even realise the pen was waterproof until I received it - I'm a sucker for anything in a pink box clearly! I think I've been using the same eyeliner pen from the Collection range in boots for the last 5 years, so I thought I'd throw caution to the wind and try another pen for myself.

Born Pretty Store Waterproof Eyeliner

My first impressions were that this pen was super fine and super sleek, I even kept mentioning to my sister how pointed and fine the tip of the nib was! Because it was so fine, it made doing my eyeliner a breeze - I'm personally used to much thicker felt tip style pens and have really struggled in the past to make my lines even on both eyes, so this was a revelation for me.

I've taken a few selfies below of my favourite cat's eye makeup look I've managed to create using this particular eyeliner - I've kept the images black and white to detract away from the other makeup I'm wearing!

I have used it every single day for the last week and haven't made any mistakes or had a 'bad makeup day' so I really believe this eyeliner. If you want to try out this eyeliner for yourself or any of the other beauty products from Born Pretty Store's incredible range, they've made a special code just for you guys!

If you enter GEOH10 at the checkout, you'll receive 10% off the total of your order - considering how affordable everything on their site is already, this is an extra bonus because everyone loves a little saving!

I hope you've enjoyed reading my post and have felt inspired to check out Born Pretty Store for yourself - let me know what you think!

Until next time..

September Favourites: Palmer's Rapid Moisture Spray Lotion & Charles Worthington Hair Care Products

Sometimes it can be hard to find products which really work for you. With so many skin and hair care products on the shelves, each claiming a different thing. I find it can make going shopping seem like a battle of trial and error until you find a product that really makes a difference.

I'm turning 21 this weekend and I really feel like I've purchased a fair share of the products that are available to buy on the high street - I've always enjoyed trying out new brands and releases, there's always a little mystery and excitement about finding out whether they really work. But as fun as it is to go out and make impulse purchases, I do find myself returning to a couple of cult beauty brands time and time again. So today's post is really about celebrating two of my favourite skin, and hair care brands, because it's super important to start battling the cold weather with products that'll really lock in moisture.

First up is my favourite body moisturiser right now - Palmer's Rapid Moisture Spray Lotion 'Coconut Rich.' I've always loved Palmer's body butters, they leave your skin soft, smell incredible and aren't greasy, but I'd been a little lazy with my moisturising routine during the last couple of months so when I saw this product in Boots, I took it straight to the till. I feel like this moisturiser is every lazy girl's dream, you literally aim the nozzle where you want to apply the product and click the button to release the moisturiser. I'm not going to lie, at first it really reminded me of applying sun lotion, but I was really impressed with how quickly I was able to apply it to myself post-shower. It eliminates the process of waiting around having to massage thick dollops of body butter, and instead you get a thin, even coverage of product that is absorbed in minutes. I didn't find it to be greasy or leave my clothes feeling sticky after I got dressed either - which is a total plus because it means I can use it in the morning before work if I feel so inclined to! It's not often I hype about skincare products, but if you're looking for an easy and quick way of applying an effective moisturiser, I'd give this 5 stars.

My other favourite for this month definitely has to be my Charles Worthington hair care products - I took advantage of a 3 for 2 and double points voucher I had at Boots and snapped up the Moisture Seal shampoo and Straight & Smooth conditioner (along with a sea salt spray from the brand which I've yet to test out!) I didn't buy the matching conditioner not because I wanted to, but because Boots had sold out *boohoo* - however I needn't have worried because both products are miracle workers! I did recently get my hair cut, so I was able to get rid of all the split ends and really give my hair some nourishment with this combo from Charles Worthington. All I can say is since switching I've definitely seen less frizz in the mornings, and my hair is so much softer to touch - I literally can't fault these products and will 100% be buying again from the brand!

I genuinely can't recommend this trio enough, they'll be beauty staples within my everyday routine over the next few months - I'm definitely going to get ahead when it comes to prepping my hair and skin for the harsh British weather!

Let me know if you've tried these below - I'd love to hear your thoughts too

Thanks for reading!

Until next time..
