It's been a constant battle over the years to try and re-hydrate my dry skin and since I've always been prone to sensitive skin on certain areas of my face, it wasn't a surprise that last week I had a reaction to something my skin clearly didn't agree with.
In a desperate bid to fix and replenish my sore skin, I ran to Boots on my lunch hour and picked up every kind of deep moisturising and healing products I could find - from Eucerin & Sudocrem to E45 and Nivea, you name it I probably purchased it!
Sadly for me everything I put on my skin had no effect, my eyelids in particular were so sore and anything that even went near them stung like hell - not a pleasant experience at all.
In my desperation I turned to Lush Cosmetics - I love love LOVE Lush products and regularly purchase their bath bombs, melts and jellies but haven't ever really paid much attention to their other skincare products. So I sent a quick email to their customer service team (the subject quite literally was S.O.S Skincare haha!) and a day later I received a super helpful email from a lovely lady called Keilly giving me all sorts of advice, and in particular giving their cleanser 'Ultrabland' a glowing report. She told me to purchase a pot and if I wasn't happy with the results, I'd receive a full refund, so with that incentive in mind I headed straight to the checkout and picked up the product.
Ultrabland cleanser is an all natural product that includes ingredients such as Almond Oil, Rose Water, Beeswax and Honey. When I opened the pot I was surprised by the thickness, I'd assumed it'd have a runnier texture but it was more of a butter than a cream which actually made the application a lot easier!
Of course I've only been using this product for a week so it's very early days - only time will tell whether this cleanser has a lasting effect on my skin! But one thing I will say is that removing my makeup was a chore before I discovered this, I don't know whether it's the novelty of trying out an all natural product but I'm really enjoying using it.
Have you tried Ultrabland cleanser or any of Lush's skincare products - leave me a comment below if there's a miracle product you've discovered that I haven't heard of yet, I'd love to know!
Until next time..
