The Perfect LBD: Party Season 'Must-Haves' at Boutique of Molly

Boutique of Molly Fur Trim Dress
Every year us girls will head out to the shops in search of the perfect dress for the party season. We'll fight through the Christmas shoppers, try on hundreds of outfits and often leave feeling tired, hungry and more confused about the shapes and styles that really suit us - whoever said that shopping isn't hard work is wrong.

So when I discovered Boutique of Molly online, I thought I'd give a little collaboration a go, in the hope of winning the party dress wars this year. As much as I love online shopping, I can find it a little overwhelming when I'm scrolling through page after page of clothing on some of the bigger online companies. But what I loved most about Boutique of Molly is that they're a smaller independant retailer, who stock a more select range of items, which as a true Libran is exactly what I need to make my decision making easier.

After much deliberation I selected the Lissy Fur Trim Bodycon Dress. Every girl needs an LBD in their wardrobe and I just loved the added detailing of the fur trim, which in my opinion adds a wintery, festive twist to the look. Honestly though there are so many gorgeous dresses (not to mention the other clothing and accessories!) that no matter what your shape or style you'll find something to fall in love with.

The Lissy Fur Trim dress is crafted from a really gorgeous stretch material, so it has a really lovely snug fit that makes you feel like you've got Kardashian curves. The high neckline is very flattering, balanced beautifully by the addition of the spaghetti straps - there's something very 90's slip dress about this which seems to be the go-to look for 2016! The fur trim falls to just on the knee on me, so it's verging on a midi dress - again super flattering!

I'm saving my dress for a night out in December, but I already know I'll be pairing it with a pair of strappy black heels and my leather jacket, to add a little edge to the elegance of this piece.

I'd definitely recommend heading over to the Boutique of Molly website to check out all of their new season wear. Their prices are really affordable, so you can grab a beautiful bargain without breaking the bank this Christmas! I'm already lusting after their designer-inspired 'Bruges' bag, which I'll be adding to my winter wishlist for Mr Claus this year.

Have you discovered your perfect party season look yet? Let me know below!

Until next time..

Christmas Crafting: DIY 'Sugar Plum Beary' Knitted Christmas Tree Decorations

Christmas Knitted Bear Tree Decorations Pattern
If you follow me on Twitter, you'll know that I recently took up knitting (and if you don't you should probably follow me, I'm super nice!). When I tell people I know that I actually really enjoy knitting, the usual response is laughter followed by them questioning my age - I've clearly got the soul of someone beyond my years, trapped in the body of a 22 year old. All jokes aside though, knitting and knitwear in general is experiencing a renaissance in the world of fashion, largely because of those giant arm-knitted blankets and the mermaid tail ones you see all over Etsy. Whilst I haven't mastered all the stitches yet, and I definitely won't be trying to knit my own clothing anytime soon, I do enjoy giving smaller projects a go because they're the perfect way to put in the practice!

Most of my knitting inspiration has been divided between Pinterest and Ravelry, I am HUGELY in awe of all the amazing creativity I've seen across those websites and find everyone's designs so fascinating.

Christmas Knitted Bear Tree Decorations Pattern
Since we're hurtling towards Christmas at an alarming rate, I wanted to work on a small design that I could alter slightly to make it my own. So when I stumbled across this particular pattern on Pinterest, I knew exactly what I wanted to do.

Christmas Knitted Bear Tree Decorations Pattern
I purchased the sparkliest, festive wool I could find, and have created what I fondly refer to as
'Sugar Plum Beary' Knitted Tree Decorations.

Christmas Knitted Bear Tree Decorations Pattern
I followed the pattern to the letter, but switched the traditional wool used for the bears' dresses out for my sparkly alternative, and then stuffed them with significantly more stuffing than required to give them a fatter, more rounded, bauble appearance. I also didn't give them legs because in my mind it made them look like they were more fairy-like and sort of dancing - but if you don't agree, go ahead and add some little legs to them!

Christmas Knitted Bear Tree Decorations Pattern
Rather than use the Christmas checked ribbon as seen in the pattern above, I chose a thinner, silkier style and attached small sleigh bells to the top of each of the bears' heads. This is obviously optional, but I think it adds to the character of the bears and makes them even more festive.
(I may or may not have conducted 'Jingle Bells' with them when they were finished too..)

Once you get into the swing of things, they really take no time to knit at all, and before you know it, you'll have an army of 'Sugar Plum Bearies' to trim your Christmas tree with!

This post is a little out of the norm from my usual content, but I wanted to share with you all something I'm passionate about. I love teaching myself new things and learning from others too - I'd love to know if any of you guys knit too and are working on something for Christmas.

Happy Knitting! Until next time..

The Libbie Club: November 2016 Beauty Box

When I arrived home today to find a large brown package waiting for me on my bed, I couldn't contain my excitement, knowing that my November Libbie Club box had finally arrived!
Wasting no time at all, I hastily tore into the packaging and lifted the lid, to be hit with a deliciously sweet aroma that was festive yet zesty, not to mention a welcome surprise! With this having been my fourth Libbie Club beauty box, I'm used to the undeniably gorgeous selection of products that usually arrive, but the company have truly outdone themselves with this assortment. I'm a bit of a packaging fiend, and the combination of Christmas products and luminous rose gold accents made me internally squeal with delight upon first sight.

Nestled inside the box were four luxurious products that I've had the chance to put through their paces:

- Isla Apothecary Lemongrass & Rosemary Renew Foot Scrub
- The English Soap Company Festive Soy Candle & Soap Duo
- LOLA Makeup Exclusive Libbie Club Satin Eye Shadow

First up I'll share my thoughts on the Isle Apothecary foot scrub with you all. I actually walk to work every day. Come rain or shine I'll step outside my house and travel for 30 minutes on foot, to and from work. It's become a routine that I actually enjoy now, but it does mean that my poor feet are more active than they've ever been and this product has literally been the treat that I've been needing in my life, and it smells unreal. When I initially opened the tub, I actually stirred the attention of my Mum who'd been deep in cyberspace, scrolling away on her iPad - "That smells good enough to eat, what is it?!"

The combination of Lemongrass and Rosemary creates a really refreshing and unique aroma that I happen to love. The scrub itself is a really chunky and rugged, and beautifully massages into the skin with the help of the oils, but the grittiness of the salt doesn't disappear too soon meaning that you really get a chance to work at areas that need a bit of TLC. I grabbed a handful of this scrub to work into my feet whilst in the bath, but apparently you can also add a spoonful to a bowl of warm water to create your own mini spa too - an idea I'll definitely be using if the temperature continues to drop!

Next I turned my attention to the LOLA Makeup eye shadow. I received shade 018, which I'd like to describe as a rusty, rose gold with sparkling yellow gold glitter running through it. Perfect for the party season (and feeding my ever-growing rose gold obsession!) the shade is highly pigmented and applies beautifully. It blends out easily, adding depth and mystery to a day time look, or can be built up on the lid for a twist on the iconic, smokey eye. There's nothing bad to say about this little gem, I can definitely see myself using it to some of the Christmas events I've got lined up.

And last, but certainly not least, The English Soap Company's soy candle and soap duo. Before I even go into how amazing these products smell, I just want to clarify how stunning the packaging is for these. The particular 'Winter Village' duo I received had been decorated with a 'Night Before Christmas / Sleighing Santa' design that immediately transported me back to the magic of Christmases as a child. With decadent gold text overlaid, I feel like this company could've just given me the boxes alone and I'd have been overjoyed. Exuding luxury and sophistication, I can already tell this duo would go down a storm as a little Christmas gift for a loved one.

Moving onto the actual products though, my candle is said to be "infused with the scent of cinnamon and mulled wine" - two of my favourite ever Christmas scents, and they definitely work together in harmony. I love the fact that the soy candle is more ecologically friendly and is also said to burn longer, with an approximate burn time of 35 hours. I can't actually bring myself to light this just yet, I'm going to save it for Christmas Eve, but I know it's going to make my house smell like pure heaven.

The soap bar itself is a particularly substantial size too, with cleverly designed, origami-like packaging. Scented with Shea Butter, the bar is SLS and paraben free, vegan friendly and not tested on animals, which only adds to its appeal in my opinion. Once again I'm saving this for the guest bathroom over the Christmas period so can't give a full review, but as a little gift set you're guaranteed to make someone smile if you treat them to this, this Christmas.

November's Libbie Club box has certainly been full of gorgeous treats that I want to share with you all, so I'm glad to be able to offer you guys some amazing, exclusive discounts for all of the goodies above - simply pop over to my page here, and treat yo'self!

Thank you as always for reading!

Until next time..

FEED & Clarins: A Beautiful Way to Support a Worthy Cause

FEED for Clarins Free Charity Beauty Gift With Purchase
If you're anything like me, you'll know the anxiety of experiencing buyer's guilt. In a rush of spontaneity you'll purchase that one-season trend item, that you know perfectly well isn't going to go with anything in your wardrobe when you get it home, with a price tag really isn't justifiable, and the moment you walk through your door - BAM! You'll feel that pang of guilt in the pit of your tummy that your money really would've been better spent elsewhere.

So if you're searching for a way to treat yourself to a little luxury, and feel good whilst you're doing it, then I have found the brand for you this November.

FEED for Clarins Free Charity Beauty Gift With Purchase

If you pop into Boots and head over to the Clarins counter, you'll be able to take home a gorgeous beauty gift if you purchase two products from the brand (one being skincare). The gift itself is a delightful little cosmetic bag including the following: Clarins Gentle Refiner, HydraQuench Cream Mask, Moisture-Rich Body Lotion, Hand and Nail Treatment Cream and Relax Bath & Shower Concentrate - so basically everything you need to be out battling the elements this winter.

"Feed your skin, Feed your soul."

The gift bag has been created in aid of FEED, and by purchasing this pouch you'll be providing 10 school meals for children across the world.

"For many around the world, hunger is a daily struggle. 1 in 8 people go to bed hungry every night. Roughly 100 million children are underweight. But there is hope. Hunger is a solvable problem, and now you have become part of the solution. With this FEED for Clarins pouch, you have given more than just meals. You have helped children grow, learn and thrive. You have invested in their future."

Whenever I read statistics like this, it really helps to put into perspective just how fortunate I am. And though I always get involved in charities that are close to my heart, when I see that a product or brand I love, is supporting a good cause, I always try to give towards that too.

In the run up to Christmas, when we as consumers all get caught up in treating our loved ones, and bagging the best deals on the high street, it can be easy to overlook the little things we take for granted every day. So I personally champion Clarins for making me stop and reflect on my quality of life in the store today. I love knowing that I've helped to support something worthy, through the use of my everyday beauty products.

Do you think you'll be helping to support FEED for Clarins this November?

Until next time..

Trick or Treat: Top 5 Reasons Why I Love Halloween

Halloween Kylie Lip Kits & Lush Bath Bomb
Halloween was definitely not a holiday we really celebrated in my house growing up (I wasn't allowed to go trick or treating and don't remember the day ever really being a thing) but as I've gotten older it's become a bit of an autumnal landmark in my calendar that I look forward to - after my birthday of course!
So I thought I'd share with you all why I particularly love this time of year in the hope that for those of you who're like me, and don't have any plans to dress up and go out this year, you can still find the same happiness as I can in the little things.

1. Pumpkins

Pumpkin Spiced Lattes, Pumpkin Pie, Pumpkin Carving, Pumpkin Products.

As soon as I've celebrated my birthday at the beginning of the month, it's like a craving for pumpkins sets in. I want to carve them, eat them, bake with them, and even bathe in their goodness (thank you Lush for creating a pumpkin bath product!) If it was acceptable to wear them, I probably would.

I was particularly proud of myself this year too, as I managed to make a delicious pumpkin pie for the first time - move over Blair Waldorf!

2. Candles

There's nothing quite like lighting candles at home to create a cosy, homely feel that makes you want to grab your snuggliest blanket and settle down for the evening. Or if you're feeling brave, pop on a horror film and you'll find they create the perfect ambience to complement every sudden jump scare along the way! I've even saved a couple of 'toasted marshmallow' scented candles to treat myself to this year.

3. Candy

Halloween is a holiday centred entirely around asking strangers for sweets. Though I've never been trick or treating myself, and am definitely well past the age where it's acceptable for me to go knocking on my neighbours doors, there's nothing stopping me from indulging in some sugary delights. After all if you wouldn't celebrate Easter without an egg, why would you not celebrate Halloween without some candy (see I've justified the extra calories for you).

4. Nostalgic Films

For me Halloween is definitely the perfect time to crack out some of your old favourite films, whether that means a magical Harry Potter marathon, or being spellbound by Practical Magic, there's no better way to spend a dark dreary evening than with some of your fave flicks. They don't even have to be scary if you're not in the mood to be sleeping with the light on!

5. Creativity

I feel like as every year passes and we adopt this American holiday as our own, we see more and more creativity being put into outfits and decorations. I could sit all day on Pinterest admiring everyone's artistic makeup, party favours and hand-made outfits, and I definitely get a little more excited each year to see what new twists everyone will be putting on their looks.

So now I've shared with you my favourite things about Halloween, why not tell me yours! Leave me a comment down below, I'd love to hear what you look forward to most, or if there's a film you can't not watch at this time of year!

Until next time..

Autumn Style Edit: Fall in Love with Gemporia's Rose Gold Bridge Stacking Rings

Gemporia Bridge Collection Mini Rose Gold Diamond Stacking Ring
As consumers, we're all becoming more aware of both what's in our products and where the materials used to create them have been sourced from. Everything from fair trade food, to cruelty free makeup is becoming the norm, and I think it's wonderful, to see everyone begin to make savvier shopping choices in a bid to make the world a more ethical place. So why should your jewellery be any different?

A couple of weeks ago I was delighted to be contacted by Gemporia, being given the opportunity to choose a piece of jewellery in exchange for an honest and fair review. And as someone who works within the jewellery industry, this opportunity was of course right up my street!

Before having been contacted by the company, I have to admit they hadn't been on my radar. But after a very long time spent on their website, deliberating and lusting over exactly which gorgeous piece of jewellery I wanted to add to my collection, I was pleasantly surprised to discover what a forward-thinking, innovative company they are.

Gemporia Bridge Collection Mini Rose Gold Diamond Stacking Ring
Gemporia Bridge Collection Mini Rose Gold Diamond Stacking Ring
In the end I opted for a 1/4ct Diamond Rose Gold Vermeil Mini Bridge Stacking Ring - a design from their newest 'Bridge' collection, which isn't as simple as the apt design suggests. In fact the Bridge collection, is also a metaphor for how the company bypass the middle man, and go straight to the source to get their gemstones. Often the mining communities are incredibly remote and earn very little from their efforts, but Gemporia are actively working to change this, with £5 from every Bridge collection piece you purchase going directly towards improving these people's quality of life. I like the idea that the jewellery you wear, is giving back to someone in a charitable way, and though I have received this ring as a gift, I have already chosen the next stacking ring I'll be adding to my collection to help make a difference.

Gemporia Bridge Collection Mini Rose Gold Diamond Stacking Ring
I chose the rose gold design because I feel it's the perfect transitional metal as we head into Autumn, the fiery vermeil beautifully reflects the changing of the leaves and the comforting fireside glow of bonfire night. At first I was a little worried that the rose vermeil would disappear through wear, but can say that having worn the ring for three consecutive days, it's showing no signs of vanishing any time soon! Of course with any plated jewellery though, it's important to remove it when washing your hands or applying hand creams etc. if you want to keep it in tip top condition.

I'm all about the geometric-minimalism trend within jewellery at the moment, and adore the simplicity of the Bridge design, With a symmetrical arch, and linear stone setting, it's definitely a statement design whether worn stacked or solo. I love the way that the claws setting the diamonds are silver instead of rose too, so that they don't detract away from the glorious sparkle of the diamonds and also create a striking two-tone effect, meaning I'm more than happy to team this ring with both silver or rose accessories.

Gemporia Bridge Collection Mini Rose Gold Diamond Stacking Ring
When the colder weather sets in, I think it's really easy to slip into oversized knitwear, and choose comfort over style, but the addition of jewellery can transform even the simplest of knitted jumpers into elegant attire. Though I opted for a neutral gemstone, these gorgeous Bridge rings are available in an assortment of metals & hues - my personal favourites are the Thai Ruby and the Zambian Emerald, both of which are gorgeously festive! I don't know what it is about green gemstones, but ever since I cast my eyes over that image of Angelina Jolie wearing her iconic emerald earrings at an award ceremony, I've never been able to forget their alluring glow!

Gemporia Bridge Collection Mini Rose Gold Diamond Stacking Ring
Gemporia Bridge Collection Mini Rose Gold Diamond Stacking Ring
Gemporia use only genuine gemstones and precious metals to create their designs, and are working to bring affordable, luxury jewellery to everyone. They believe that beautiful jewellery shouldn't cost the earth, but also believe that it shouldn't be mass produced or run of the mill. and all of their designs are created in limited runs in order to maintain their exclusivity - what's not to love?

So if you're searching for affordable, ethical jewellery, that's beautifully innovative and contemporary within its design, I'd definitely recommend taking a peek at Gemporia's selection - trust me when I say you'll spend hours on their website lusting over their array of designs!

I hope you enjoyed my post, let me know what you think of their Bridge collection!

Until next time..

Primark Haul: The 'Must-Have' Little Black Bag That You Need This A/W16

Primark Haul Black Clutch Bag AW16 and Vaseline x Lulu Guinness Lip Therapy Tin
The little black dress is an essential piece within any woman's wardrobe. In fact if you don't own at least one, it's probably considered a bit of a cardinal sin - though I won't personally judge you.

But even if you don't own an LBD of your own, there's no doubt that every lady needs a LBB (that's Little Black Bag to you and me) that they can grab quickly whether they're heading out for a post work meal, or a night on the town. And I believe that I have stumbled upon, by accident, one of the most beautiful black bags ever to grace Primark's shelves, that will undoubtedly take centre stage throughout all of my 'party season' outfits this winter.

This striking bag is technically speaking, more of a box. The structured design & shape lends itself well to storing all types of beauty essentials inside for a night out, without having to worry about the liquid lipstick that you crammed inside at the last minute being squashed and melting everywhere - trust me this stuff can happen on the beauty front line.

Primark Haul Black Clutch Bag AW16 and Vaseline x Lulu Guinness Lip Therapy Tin
The bag itself is finished in a really luxurious suede-effect fabric that I genuinely cannot stop stroking. And the matte suede-esque look provides a stunning contrast against the luminosity of the yellow gold clasp and detailing. With the added bonus of a quirky tassel at the base, there's something very reminiscent of YSL's bag designs to me.

Tucked inside is a long gold chain, that allows the bag to be worn over the shoulder, or across your body. Or if preferred you can simply tuck it inside if you feel the urge to transform it into a chic clutch bag.

When purchasing this bag, I could already picture it being teamed with my black leather jacket with gold detailing, and statement yellow gold jewellery. I always feel like it's important to think about your wardrobe sitting at home when purchasing accessories, as there's nothing worse than the guilt of feeling like you need to buy a whole new outfit, just to tie in with your latest purchase - I know this from experience.

Primark Haul Black Clutch Bag AW16 and Vaseline x Lulu Guinness Lip Therapy Tin
If you've fallen in love with this bag already though, the price alone will have you donning your shoes and heading to the nearest Primark store. As this particular bag is a mere £10 - once again Primark have triumphed with a stylish design at an unbelievable price.

Though this design is most definitely a piece of throw away fashion that probably won't last into Spring, I always think it's fun to mix & match your high-quality pieces with trending designs, to keep your look new & exciting.

So what do you think - have you found anything particularly lust-worthy in Primark's new season fashion? Let me know by leaving a comment below!

Until next time..

Brand Exclusive: Vaseline's Limited Edition X Lulu Guinness Lip Therapy Tin

Vaseline Limited Edition Lip Therapy Tin X Lulu Guinness Doll Face
As the cold nights draw in quicker, and we countdown to October's definitive crisp, chilly mornings, it's safe to say that my summer beauty regime needs to be replaced in favour of products that will both battle, and defend against Autumn's harsher elements. Now I don't know about you guys, but one of my absolute pet hates is chapped lips. Lip care is truly the first thing on my mind when I wake up, and the last thing I apply before I go to sleep - I honestly can't stand the feel of the dry, chapped lips that seem to go hand in hand with the latter months of the year.

So you can imagine my overwhelming excitement when I was contacted by Vaseline, one of my all-time favourite, beauty essential brands, asking whether I'd be interested in trying out the newest limited edition lip tin before it hit the shelves. And of course, as a lover of Vaseline's lip products, I jumped at the chance! Most of you will already be familiar with my obsession with their products, and the satisfaction I find in collecting each and every one of their limited edition tins - it's an addiction I know!

Not knowing what to expect from the latest tin, I tore into the packet that fell through my door with eager hands. Only to find (in my personal opinion) Vaseline's most stunning lip therapy tin yet.

Vaseline Limited Edition Lip Therapy Tin X Lulu Guinness Doll Face
Vaseline have teamed up with British designer, Lulu Guinness, to create a Limited Edition Lip Therapy Tin. For me, Lulu Guinness' creations are easily distinguishable by her iconic, full-lipped designs - I mean who hasn't lusted after her quirky, yet cool clutch bags! And this tin certainly isn't any different. Teaming her sultry red pout with a coiffed black bob, and flirtatious wink, the lid alone will win the hearts of any lady who finds an affinity with a daring and sassy attitude. Apparently the 'Lulu Doll Face' is set to become the next big thing we can expect from the designer, with this tin being a little taste of what's yet to come from her innovative, new Pre-Spring collection. Though fashion aficionados won't have to wait too long to cast their eyes over Lulu Guinness' new delights, with the brand being set to unveil the mystery behind their new designs in November.

Unlike previous limited edition lip therapy tins, Lulu Guinness' design houses Vaseline's Original Petroleum Jelly. A product that simultaneously works to soften the lips and repair any damage caused by environmental factors, the main reason why time and time again I return to the original - well that and the product's amazing versatility. Chapped lips? Vaseline. Unruly brows? Vaseline. Sore skin? Vaseline. But it's not just me, even Lulu herself is said to be a huge fan of the brand's lip care range - "I have used it since I was a baby, and always have around 10 dotted around the house, so I am very proud to have put my stamp on such an iconic household brand."

Vaseline Limited Edition Lip Therapy Tin X Lulu Guinness Doll Face
Though my beside table is usually home to my Vaseline lip therapy products, this particular limited edition design demands to be shown off in my handbag instead - it's literally too beautiful not to be seen! I may have only just received the product, but I already know it'll be an essential when I'm out & about during the up-coming party season!

If you're just as excited as I am about the release of Vaseline's latest limited edition lip therapy tin, you won't have to have too many sleepless nights dreaming of this product. The tin will be available to purchase (RRP £2.99) in Boots, Superdrug and Tesco stores nationwide from October 2016 - keep your eyes peeled for Lulu's iconic red pout!

So tell me, what are your thoughts on the Limited Edition Vaseline X Lulu Guinness Lip Therapy Tin? Will you be making this one of your handbag essentials as soon as you find it in store? Let me know below!

Boots Beauty Haul: Lee Stafford Coco Loco Coconut Hairspray & Barry M Limited Edition Summer 2016 Nail Polishes

Boots Limited Edition Barry M Nail Polishes & Lee Stafford Coconut Hairspray
Whilst back to school week marks the end of summer for most, the sudden emptiness of the shops has allowed me to venture out for some leisurely browsing on my lunch breaks. And this week I found my feet leading me towards Boots' open doors. Though I wasn't looking for anything in particular, as usual, I didn't leave empty handed, instead I added two new nail polishes from Barry M to my shopping basket along with an exciting new Lee Stafford hairspray.

The two nail polishes are Summer 2016 Limited Editions exclusively for Boots, and out of the total range of four shades, I decided to pick up:

Golden Sands - a gorgeous pinky-nude with gold flecks running through it
Beachy Keen - a subtle tan polish

Boots Limited Edition Barry M Nail Polishes & Lee Stafford Coconut Hairspray
As with all of Barry M's nail polishes, I never really find the consistency changes - the polishes always apply beautifully and one coat gives a solid translucent, buildable finish. I'm currently wearing 'Beachy Keen' which is probably my favourite of the two shades, and after a days' wear I've seen no visible chipping to the polish, which is amazing for me! Though these shades were designed to be for the summer months, I definitely feel like 'Beachy Keen' is a lovely transitional hue to wear into Autumn - it's not too pastel or too harsh, with a gorgeous glow to it.

Boots Limited Edition Barry M Nail Polishes & Lee Stafford Coconut Hairspray
My other purchase was something I actually picked up spontaneously at the till point, knowing I'd run out of hairspray at home. Lee Stafford's pastel pink packaging jumped out at me and it wasn't until later that I actually realised that the product was coconut scented! Long time followers of my blog will know that I have a serious coconut addiction, so I almost feel like this was the fate of the Beauty Gods that I would pick this up. Okay bit OTT, but seriously I've never loved a hairspray so much in my life! Lee Stafford's Coco Loco Coconut Hairspray still has that bitter scent (and taste if you're unlucky enough to breath a little too much of this in) to it that's typical of hairsprays. But initially your senses are flooded with a rich coconut aroma. The product itself isn't sticky and doesn't leave your hair feeling hard, but it does have fantastic hold and can be brushed out with ease - perfect for styling, and in my case taming unruly bangs! I'd reccommend this to anyone who's open to trying a new hairspray or is obsessed with coconut as much as I am!

What beauty products have you purchased recently that have impressed you? Leave a comment below to let me know!

Until next time..

A Place Called Home: Alphabet Candles To Fall In Love With

Marks & Spencer's Scented Alphabet 'G' Candle in Gold Packaging
Having recently moved house and had the chance to update / redecorate my living space, I've been noticing that homeware stores and furnishings have been capturing my attention more than usual. And in my quest to obtain a Pinterest-worthy bedroom, I've been finding little gems to embellish my room here and there.

As you know, no blogging space is complete without the following clichés:

- A clean, white space or marble worktop
- An endless stream of fresh flowers
- A variety of boutique candles

Whilst I'm still in the process of working out how exactly to incorporate marble into my room, along with who's going to be funding my weekly bouquet of flowers, I did stumble upon a total bargain candle in M&S.

I was searching through the sale section on my lunch break when I found a totally chic and totally gorgeous 'G' initial candle. The striking gold, black and white packaging really reminds me of the home accessories you can purchase from Anthropologie - but the beauty of this little bargain was the fact that it was reduced in the sale!

With a zesty grapefruit and invigorating ginger fragrance, the scent is so refreshing and perfect for the up-coming transition of the seasons, allowing me to desperately claw onto a reminder of the little bit of British sunshine we have left.

I think they'd make wonderful gifts for friends and family around Christmas time (the dreaded C word I know!), so I may find myself paying M&S another visit to snap up some more letters! I don't think they'll be sticking around for very long, so unless everyone you know has a name starting with X, Y or Z, you should probably get shopping here too!

I hope you enjoyed reading my post - let me know if you think it's too early to be thinking about Christmas shopping?

Until next time..

The Libbie Club: August 2016 Beauty Box

Libbie Club August Box Nizz Cosmetics, Nanoblur, Mizon
If you haven't heard of the Libbie Club yet, where have you been? It's an exciting new beauty box concept that any beauty blogger or beauty junkie should definitely be a part of. But to avoid me repeating myself again head over to April's blog post to discover why you should consider joining!

Anyway, when the lovely people at the Libbie Club sent me August's box in the post I busily set to work putting all the products through their paces. August's box has some incredible products inside that I had to stop myself from tearing into and testing them before I had a chance to photograph them! The box included 3 summer essentials for any self-confessed beauty lover: Indeed Labs Nanoblur Instant Skin Finisher, Mizon Placenta Ampoule Cream and last but definitely not least, Nizz Cosmetics Lustre Lipstick in the shade Rose Nude - amazing right!

Before trying out the products I thought I'd list them in order of why I was most excited to give them a go. The Nanoblur instant skin finisher was definitely number 1 - I've been seriously getting into skin care lately and any product promising to enhance my appearance is pretty exciting. In close succession was the Nizz Cosmetics lipstick. I love the idea of a 2 in 1 product that you can pop into your makeup bag that won't take up room when you're travelling, and their lipsticks have a little tinted balm on the end of the product! Finally the Mizon placenta cream rocked up in third, not for any other reason than that I really love my existing face creams, so this little potion had very high expectations to meet!

Nizz Cosmetics Lustre Lipstick in Rose Nude Libbie Club August Box
First up I've decided to start with a review of the Nizz Cosmetics Lustre Lipstick - my personal favourite product from the box! Beautifully packaged in a sleek, contemporary tube (always a win in my eyes) the vegetarian, hypo-allergenic and paraben free lipstick, is enriched with Cocoa and Vitamin E, claiming to nourish lips, leaving them kissable and soft. As someone who considers themselves a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to lipsticks, I was expecting a lot from this brand - thankfully I was not at all disappointed!

The colour is totally gorgeous, the perfect 'everyday office' lipstick. It lasts until at least lunch time if applied when I leave the house in the morning which is amazing for me, as I usually find some lip sticks really aren't up to the job. It doesn't feel sticky, dry or cakey, one swipe gives you a beautiful pigment with a sleek sheen - no need to worry about cracking lips! Plus there's the added bonus of the end of the lip stick doubling up as a tinted balm, which is ideal because I never go anywhere without a tin of Vaseline in my bag so this would save some serious handbag space! This product is a 10 in my eyes and since checking our their website, I've discovered it's available in a whole variety of different shades which I'm adding to my lust list..

Nanoblur Instant Skin Finisher Libbie Club August Box

Next up was Nanoblur Instant Skin Finisher, claiming to immediately perfect the appearance of your skin when you need (or just want to) look picture perfect. A little dubious at first as to how well this would actually work, I was pleasantly surprised! You can either apply it as the last step in your skin care regime in the morning if you're going makeup free, or alternatively apply it after your foundation if you're getting dolled up - that was the weird bit for me, putting this over my foundation felt like I was putting my shirt on back to front, it just wasn't natural. But once you get over the initial alarm bells ringing, and apply it you'll fall in love with the product - you can actually see a visible difference in how much more improved your complexion looks! Now for the sciency bit, tiny prisms diffuse the natural light on your face, creating a smoothing, airbrushed effect - what ever selfie lover wants! What I'd say is teamed with your favourite primer and foundation, you'll feel worthy of doing a covershoot for your favourite magazine. I'll be saving mine for special occasions and nights out for when there's the possibility of being caught out by my friends on Snapchat - definitely give this little gem a go if you get the chance!

Mizon Placenta Ampoule Cream Review Libbie Club August Box
Last but not least I put the Mizon Placenta Ampoule Cream to the test - first impressions, the packaging is clean and simple creating the illusion of something almost medical, but often less can be more and I've learnt never to judge a product by its packaging! I won't lie when I first opened the box and saw the word 'placenta' I was a little like 'what the hell is in this product?!' But as it turned out it had nothing to do with any of my preconceptions, and was filled with lots of nourishing, plant goodness. The product claims to revitalise the skin and give it a refreshed, youthful appearance, and I have to say I'm in love! I've been using it as a night cream since I opened up my box, and it's left my skin feeling beautifully soft. I'm only 21, so I can't say I've noticed any wrinkles or the like being banished. But I live in the hope that this cream will keep my skin in tip top condition - something that's proved hard with the changeable weather recently!
