Give Me Glow Cosmetics: The Ultimate Liquid Matte Lipsticks

Give Me Glow Cosmetics Liquid Matte Lipsticks Flatlay

Instagram has become one of the most effective marketing tools for independent retailers in recent years. The user-friendly app provides the perfect platform for even the most inexperienced of entrepreneurs to sell their goods. And I for one, am definitely a bit of a sucker when it comes to seeing beauty products being advertised on IG.

A little over a year ago, I began following 'Give Me Glow Cosmetics' on Instagram. Drawn in by the brands' high pigmented eyeshadows, and snaps of full pouts in an array of intriguing shades, I was immediately obsessed. For months I found myself unable to justify needing more makeup, and was unprepared to pay the shipping costs to get these goodies sent over from America, where the brand is based. But last month, I took the plunge and headed to the site to seek out new cosmetics to add to my already overgrown collection.

Just when you think you couldn't possibly purchase another lip product, you find not one, but three, sitting in your shopping cart (along with two eyeshadows!), as you're entering your payment details at the checkout. The products I chose are the following, though this post will not feature the two eyeshadows:

- Country Red Liquid Lipstick
- Miss October Liquid Lipstick
- Peach Party Vivid Lip Paint
- Marigold Pressed Eyeshadow
- Miami Peach Pressed Eyeshadow

With peach tones being all the rage right now, I definitely opted for warmer tones - perfect for transitioning the seasons from summer to autumn!

After using the liquid lipsticks for over a month now, I can honestly say that for now, I won't be purchasing them from anywhere else! Coming from someone who hyped up the Kylie lip kits when they launched, I have to say these are one hundred times better in every way.

The lipsticks are creamy and beautifully pigmented (one swipe will cover your lips, without streaks or need to apply a second layer), they're quick-drying, long-lasting and beautifully scented without being sickly.

Country Red is a beautiful dark, vampy purple-red that is borderline gothic when applied on my skin tone. I love how dramatic the colour is and can see it being a firm favourite once autumn rocks around. In complete contrast though, Miss October is a deep raspberry shade of pink. When I ordered it, I had reservations it would be similar to Kylie's Posie K shade, but was pleasantly surprised that the shade was richer and more versatile. Finally Peach Party is a wonderful burnt shade of orange, again richer than Kylie's 22 and possibly my favourite of the bunch.

(Swatches below shown without flash in natural light, sadly my photo doesn't do the colours justice. Definitely check out the brands' Instagram for true colour comparisons.)

When I say these lipsticks stay in place I mean it! These bad boys have survived all day in the office, dinner out and even drinks with my friends. What I love most is that you can totally top-up your colour if you do find it disappearing, unlike other liquid matte lipsticks that will look cakey and flakey. Good ol' soap and water won't even remove these, you'll need to invest in a quality makeup remover - but don't fear, they won't stain your lips and with the right remover, all traces will be gone in seconds.

If you're not familiar with Give Me Glow Cosmetics, I urge you to head over to their website. The products are honestly worth the shipping fees, and the fashion-forward shades are so lustworthy you'll want to snap every single product up.

Have you purchased any lip products lately, or got any on your wish list? Let me know below!

Until next time..
